If you knocked it on the way from your friends house, then the circuits inside the guitar might be loose or been knocked into the wrong places. Either get it repaired down at a near Electronic Repair Shop: or get a new one.

As with the freezing up, the buttons, when they were moulded, might be too big for the guitar casing. I suggest getting a new one.

I cant get the guitar to sync up with the my 360. it lights up but keeps flashing because it can't connect.

You need to pair the guitar to the Xbox just like you would any other new controller. Press the sync button on the guitar (usually located near the Xbox Guide button) and the sync button on the Xbox (located to the right of the slot for memory unit 2) and they should sync up.

I just bought a rockband 2 for XBox 360 all the

You mean the strum bar, right? In order to test this, strum up and down in any menu in the game. If your selection moves up and down then it's working, if it doesn't move at all, then you have a broken guitar. You'll need to contact EA for an RMA. Information on that was included in the packaging of your game.

Xbox 360 wireless guitar connection

I had this issue myself today when I borrowed Guitar Hero III and the wireless guitar from a friend. Luckily I decided to scour the internet before I got so pissed that I broke an accessory that isn't mine.

There are TWO buttons that you have to push to connect a new wireless device to your 360 that isn't connecting automatically.

Step 1
There is a small white button on the face of the 360 just to the right of the controller wire ports. Press and hold this button until the light on your 360 starts to flash. This puts your system into pairing mode. When this happens:

Step 2
There is a small inconspicuous button on the bottom of the guitar near the strap connection When you press and hold this one you will see the lights around the x-box symbol flash in a circle.

If this does not solve your problem, chance are that you are indeed F*@KED and have to return yet another Microsoft product.

I need the instructions for syncing the guitar to the xbox 360 console

You'll need to find the sync button on the guitar, and then hit the sync button on the 360 (next to the black bar sensor thingymajig). They'll start flashing and eventually connect.
The sync button on the xbox is right beside the 2nd controller slot lol And the button on the guitar is beside the Mic slot. But first u have to push the xbox button on the guitar
