For example have a look here http://www.routeripaddress.com/routers/644/lg_lam200r_default_settings.html. Without a type and model number is hard to give you an accurate result but there is another way of finding out. Assuming that you use a Windows operating system Start/Control Panel/Network and Internet/View network status and tasks/Change adapter settings choose the network adapter which is connected to your LG router "Local Area Connection" for example and right click on status you find out at Gateway or DHCP Server which is the IP address of you router, should be something like 192.168.x.x (192.168.1.1 and 182.168.0.1 are most used). Afterwards punch those numbers in the "www" bar of your favourite browser and you gonna end up on the login page. Over there you gonna need to provide a administrator passwd and username which are usually tailored by each routers manufacturer.
Sometimes you have the IP Adress of your router on a label placed on a side of your router cover.
For aditional infos you can have a look here http://portforward.com/ and choose your router model number.
Another useful link you can find here http://compnetworking.about.com/od/homenetworking/ht/routerconfigure.htm

You can also configure it with below method.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Hi,

You are using Samsung Galaxy mini, Right?
May I know your network carrier? because for every handset configuration you need to know the information provided by your Network provider.

Cheers!

When i take pictures and i try to text them it comes up with configuration error, how do i sort this

Hello there,

First you need to know that oicture messages are in the category of mms (multimedia messages) therefore it takes a different process to send it, unlike normal sms. It will require you to have an internet and mms settings configured on your phone before you can send picture messages.

To get the phones mms settings configured, you will have to contact the customer care of the sim card you are using so they will be able to provide you with the best appropriate settings for your phone or they will provide you with the steps to take to get your mms settings configured.

The configuration settings vary from network to network. So it is your network provider that will be able to give you the appropriate configuration settings for your phone.

Thank you for using fixya.

I bought a Belkin N Wireless Router F5D8236-4 v2 and changed my internet provider a few months later and I have lost the Installation CD, can I install it without the CD?

Yes you simply need to hook up via an Ethernet cable, open a browser type in the routers address, login with username and password, and then you can edit any setting you like. Then when finished you save settings and reboot router.

How do i stop my monitor auto configurating? I have a AOC LM500 monitor and every 5 seconds the screen goes black the it auto configures... i dont know how to stop it

Your auto-configuring settings are located on your monitors settings. Depending on the monitor, there should be a settings button somewhere on the monitor itself. In the settings there will be an option to change the monitor to your settings or "auto configuring". You'll know what to do from here.

I hope this helped.

Don't know how to set up the browser...thanks

If you are rtying to connect to the internet using your phone

You should configure first the setting of the network, and it can only be done by requesting to your network provider to send to you a configuration setting, after you recieved it, you'll need to save that setting and it will automatically configure the set up.

call the network service hotline and request for a configuration setting

My system restore has been turned off by a group policy "whatever that means"

Resolution 1. Click Start, Run and type regedit.exe and press Enter
2. Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ SystemRestore
In the right-pane:
  • Delete the value DisableConfig
  • Delete the value DisableSR
3. Exit the Registry Editor.
In Windows XP Professional, you can accomplish the above using Group Policy Editor as well.
1. Click Start, Run and type GPEDIT.MSC
2. Navigate to this path:
-> Computer Configuration
--> Administrative Templates
---> System
----> System Restore
3. Set Turn off System Restore to Not Configured
4. Set Turn off Configuration to Not Configured

For standalone Windows Vista systems, use these steps:
Using the Group Policy Editor
If your edition of Windows Vista includes the Group Policy Editor snap-in (gpedit.msc), follow these steps:
1. Click Start, type gpedit.msc and press ENTER
2. Go to the following branch:
Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | System | System Restore 3. Double-click Turn off Configuration and set it to Not configured.
Note: If the above setting is already set to Not configured, set it to Enabled and click Apply. Then revert back the setting to Not configured, and click Apply, OK.
4. Exit the Group Policy Editor.
Using the Registry Editor
1. Click Start, type regedit.exe and press ENTER
2. Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ SystemRestore 3. In the right-pane, delete the value named DisableConfig
4. Exit the Registry Editor.

If you set the Turn of configuration option to Enabled, the option to configure System Restore on the Configuration Interface disappears. If the Turn off Configuration setting is disabled, the configuration interface is still visible, but all System Restore configuration defaults are enforced, and the Create button is grayed out. If you set it to Not configured, the configuration interface for System Restore remains, and the user has the ability to configure System Restore.
