Pull the stem out to the time set level. Turn the hand around until the date change. Now push the stem back in, pull to date set level and change to current date. Now the watch is at midnight for that current date. Note you can set to current time of day. The Watch will automatically change to correct date for next day at midnight as it should.
The date changes around midnight and you can usually advance the date by going past midnight until the date changes and then turning the watch backward to a time shortly before midnight and then winding it forward again.
How far back you need to go you will have to find by experiment but it should not be very far.
The date changes hen the hour hand passes midnight (more or less).
To change the date for more than one day wind it past midnight and when the date has changed, turn the time back past midnight and then forward again.
You may have to experiment to find out how far back before midnight you have to go before going forward again, but at least you don't have to wind it 24 hours for each day!
