I have lost all my pictures! Help

Ok, Im kinda a newbie. I have had a computer for about 5 years, but just know enough to turn it on. Anyhow I have a microsoft windows me, 4.90.3000, Pentium II processor, 125 mb ram. I have kodak easyshare software downloaded on my c drive, my pics must be downloading to my d drive. I can view them on the software with thumbnails, but I get an error message stating that "The file may have been renamed or moved in your windows file system". when I click on them, And says that they are in my d drive. I have had some recent acctivities that may have contributed, but I really am clueless. 1. Had computer worked on 2. New kodak camara 3. Recent windows updates downloaded. I feel it may be the updates. I did some updates in january, I lost some pics then. I did some the other day, Lost more. But like I said, Im totally lost. Im trying to resolve this myself without a costly visit to my computer repairman. Any help would be greatly appreciated, remember, I dont know much about computer lingo

As Glenlee stated earlier, if they're in your system Picassa will find them for you. If however they have been deleted and removed from the trash, you may still be able to recover any images which have not been overwritten. This will require a program such as "Restoration" which is free and downloadable from http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html Good luck

Kodak has a default folder where the software downloads pictures. For older version of Easyshare it is found on the hard drive under the Kodak Picture folder. For newer versions, the folder is found in My Documents. Do you know how to use Windows Explorer? You can also do a search using .jpg and see what the computer finds. I'm really surprised to hear your pictures are located on the D drive. Most older comptuers the hard drive is C and the CD-ROM drive is D. Are you sure you got the letters right?

Try to start, no respond, no light digital number...No sound. Already check Electric plug is fine.

microwave ovens have a unique problem that shows itself once in a while .. they cant afford to put in a transformer thats big enough to handle two cycles of input power that have the same phase.. there is circuitry in there that tries to make sure that doesnt happen .. it remembers the "turn off" phase and makes sure the next time its turned on it uses the opposite phase.. this is to prevent transformer saturation .. this is kinda technical but anyhow its going to mess up once in a while .. the results will often be a tripped main circuit breaker ... you can check this (if the microwave plugs in) by simply plugging in a lamp to the same outlet .. if it lights then the circuit breaker is ok .. if it doesnt then thats your problem .. find your fuse box and look for a circuit breaker that is in a different postition than the rest .. you have to switch that off then back on again to reset it .. if power is ok and it still doesnt work then you may have a blown fuse inside the microwave ... thats not a place you want to be unless you really know what your are doing .. the voltage and current inside is enough to quickly kill ..

if you or someone else knows how to work with this dangerous stuff .. then they would first make sure its unplugged for at least 5 min .. then look for a bad fuse or fusable resister in the low voltage power supply (usually 12 volts) .. that supplies power to the computer and display .. nothing else will work if the computer is not working .. there is also a thermal fuse inside that will trip if the thing gets toooo hot .. that can happen if air flow is blocked or you try to use the oven with nothing in it ...

Audio is ok but no picture sony kv-32xbr450

Its an issue with the digital processing board. Turn off the TV for sometime and let it cool. Then check. If you still face the same issue, get the digital processing board repaired.

Thanks

Polk Audio RC55i In-Wall Surround Speakers (can't hear whispers)

I'd make sure that the receiver surround mode is set for one of the digital settings, such as Dolby Digital or DTS, and make sure that you have the center channel level adjusted to a level similar to the other two front channel speakers. I've seen/heard this happening when using dolby digital material & having surround set on something like 'hall' or 'stadium' or dolby surround, where only 4 channels are used & the amp has to 'mix' sounds to the left & right front speakers. It'll often sound like the actors on screen are talking out of the bottom of a barrel, with a hollow & tinny character to the voices.

Lost picture and sound

not much info as tv went out?? do you know how to work on tvs?? Ok if not the best thing you can do is call a pro Bro. as these sets no a days do not have any user serviceable parts in them and do not have replace ment moduale due to popular belief. Ok to the set at hand if and only if your a tech!!? Could be as simple as a bad connection on the Horizontal driver transformer or driver transistor. First thing to check if its completely dead is the main power supply. Good Luck
