That is the low battery warning, you will need to take it down and look at the back for the battery lid and just replace the battery.

The CO sensor will not alarm to levels of CO below 30 ppm and will alarm in the following time range when exposed to the corresponding levels of CO: 70 ppm CO Concentration 60 - 240 minutes 150 ppm CO Concentration 10 - 50 minutes 400 ppm CO Concentration 4 - 15 minutes The alarm shall include a piezoelectric horn that is rated at 85 decibels at 10 feet. When the unit detects carbon monoxide, the alarm pattern will be four (4) short beeps - followed by five (5) seconds of silence - followed by four (4) short beeps. The unit shall incorporate 2 LED's. A green LED will be illuminated to indicate the alarm is operating properly when plugged into an outlet, and will flash every 10 seconds when on backup battery power. A red LED will flash to indicate that carbon monoxide has been detected until the device is reset or CO is eliminated or will flash to indicate low battery or alarm malfunction. The unit shall at a minimum meet the requirements of CAN/CSA 6.19-01. It shall also include a 10-year manufacturer's limited warranty or

My carbon monoxide detector just has one sold beep and is not plugged in.

I assume you mean your carbon monoxide detector has one solid beep, and it is probably an AC unit. It may be safe to assume that it has battery backup if it is beeping without being plugged in.

First, you may replace the battery with a new one, plug it in and hit the reset button. If that doesn't work, you could bring it in to your local fire department to have it tested.

Check the expiry date on the Carbon Monoxide Detector. It should be replaced if it is more than 5 to 7 years old, check manufacturer recommendations.

A replacement carbon monoxide detector will give you the protection you need and peace of mind. Your safety depends on how fast you deal with this issue.

Some models of Carbon Monoxide Detectors will give an audible beep every 25-30 seconds after it has sounded an alert alarm. This may have happened when there was noone home to hear it. A periodic beeping sound may also indicate it is time to change the battery.

Solution: Install a new battery and check your manual for instructions on how to reset the system. Check the expiry date on your unit, it needs to be replaced after 5 to 7 years, according to the manufacturer specifications.

If you are in doubt that your Carbon Monoxide Detector is not working effectively, REPLACE IT. Your safety and your peace of mind is worth it.

If it is beeping 3 beeps every minute it is at the end of its battery life you can just replace the batteries by prising the cover off carefully.be aware though that the life span guarantee of these is only 5 years.

My First Alert Carbon Monoxide Alarm has failed

If the carbon monoxide detector chirps, the battery may be dead. New batteries can be defective. Check if the light is yellow when the alarm is chirping, it means the battery is low, replace with a new battery.

Carbon monoxide detector err code

Detecotrs have a limited lifespan of 5-7 years. So sounds like you need new one (It's not worth to buy just a sensor). Take a look on amazon: Amazon com Carbon monoxide detector (watch out on reviews). I hope this was helpful. cheers
