Hello.
Headphone speakers stop functioning properly when the wireconnections to the speaker are broken. This problem often develops when theheadphone cord gets jerked while being worn. The solder connection might alsodetach over time if it was not properly manufactured. The wire can bereconnected to the speaker with a soldering iron to repair the headphone. Beaware, though, that headphones are not designed to be user maintained in thisfashion. In some cases, it is difficult to get to the speaker due to the casingdesign.
Instructions and tools needed
Screwdriver or butter knife (depending on headphone design),Soldering iron, Electrical solder
1 Plug in the solderingiron. It takes a few minutes for it to get warm enough to be used.
2 Unscrew the screws holdingthe headphone casing over the speakers. This step applies only to models thatuse screws in the casing.
3 Insert the end of the butterknife into the seam on the headphone ear pieces. Pry the two halves of thecasing apart. This step is performed only on headphone models that do not usescrews in the casing.
4 Touch the tip of thesoldering iron to the electrical solder. A small drop should melt onto the tipof the iron.
5 Touch the tip of the soldering iron to the end of thedetached speaker wire inside the headphone speaker cavity. Try to get an evencoating of solder around the exposed metal end of the wire. The soldersolidifies on the wire once the soldering iron is removed.
6 Touch the end of the wire tothe solder on the metal tab attached to the speaker.
7 Touch the tip of the solderingiron to where the wire and tab connect. The heat of the soldering iron meltsthe solder on the wire and tab together. This repairs the broken connectionbetween the wire and speaker.
8 Replace the speaker casingonto the headphone. It should snap back into place for models without screws
Thanks.
The DC Power Jack is the jack you plug the AC adapter (Charger) into. (DC_IN) The DC Power Jack for the Samsung Q430 series of Notebook PC's, consists of a; 1) DC Power Jack, which is connected to two wires. 2) The wires end in a small male plug connector. It is now a DC Power Harness, http://www.laptopjacks.com/part/Samsung-Q430-DC-Power-Jack-J-SM371300C1.html FOLLOWING Anti-Static Procedures, the laptop is disassembled far enough to unplug the DC Power Harness, and plug a new one in. The audio cable will depend on the source and the TV. If you are using a computer as the source, you probably need a 3.5 mm male/male end stereo audio cable (like for computer speakers that aren't directly wired). Plug this in to the computer's speaker (out) jack and the TV's audio in (not the headphone jack on the TV). The other possible cable would be an RCA audio cable with two colored jacks on each end of the cable. For a computer to a TV that doesn't have a 3.5 male audio in jack, you may need an audio cable with the 3.5 mm jack on one end and the pair of RCA jacks on the other.
You need stereo mini phone plug male-to-male, one end goes into audio line out (green) on the PC sound card, the other end goes into audio line in on the monitor jack (green). then you need to set the volume control PC and at the monitor. You can get the cable from Radio Shack.
if you don't want to replace the lid switch you can bypass it,remove the 2 head screws one on each side, you may have plastic caps to pop off one on each side, flip the head up,you will see the lid switch jack on the washer, unplug it,cut the 2 wires on the outside of the wire jack leave middle wire(the side of the wire jack that goes to the timer)wire them together with a wire nut, plug back in , put head back and your done, let me know how you do-mike
unplug washer ,very simple, your lid switch is broke, remove 2 screws from head, flip head up,unplug the jack on the washer top,cut both outside wires and wire them together, plug back in,you have now by passed the lid switch, your done, let me know how you do,if that does not work we will tackle the water pump-mike
You accidentally flipped the cap over backwards when you were putting the male plug on. If you are using 568B standard that starts with orange/white and ends it brown...make sure that if the orange white is on the left, then the clip on the plug is facing away from you.
It sounds to me like the power cord has a short. To test your power cord you need a multimeter. Test continuity threw the power cord, from the male plug prongs, to the wiring inside the vacuum. You should get continuity from one prong on the male plug to only one wire on the other end of the power cord. If you test one prong but get a readying on 2 wires, then it is crossed. If you dont get any continuity on one or more of the wires, you have a short. A common place for a short in the cord is the male plug, you can find a replacement male plug at a hardware store and cut off the old one. When wiring the male plug, black wire goes to the gold post, white wire goes to silver, and green wire goes to the green post.
If your carbon brushes on the motor are warn, then that could cause the motor to stop, but other parts of the vacuum should still work so I dont think it is that.
