I have been using this camera with no problems for almost a year. I do not use the memory card or anything like that. I simply take the pictures, plug the USB cable into the camera and PC and it automatically detects it and then i get the pics off the camera. Oddly enough, out of nowhere, the PC stopped recognizing the camera. My dad has the same camera and his is doing the same thing. I have tried all the obvious things and even bought a new cable and nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Kodak easy share cx6200 problem
I have a Vivitar Vivicam and I too had the same problem with my camera and PC. What you need to do is go into your controll pannel and "find" your camera. If it does not show, do an Add and remove hardware. You may have to reinstail the camera. I had to a couple of times with mine. It is a pain, I know, but that is part of having to keep up with todays technology. I hope this helps you.

Remove the battery and the memory card, and disconnect from computer, now push power and hold for at least 60 seconds to reset the processor ic, install memory card and battery, turn on camera settings should return to normal, if not! the systems control board is the problem.
The manual indicates using memory cards of size 8 to 128 MB, so this is an early SD memory camera, following the original SD standard. Do not try SDHC or SDXC cards. The camera will support a 1 GB card. It *might* support a 2 or 4 GB card, but since this is a 2 Mpixel camera, a 512 MB or 1 GB card will allow you to save thousands of jpeg format pictures.
