Any time I've seen this error appear when playing a game it is caused by a bad graphics driver. I would suggest going to the website of the retailer that your graphics devices comes from and updating to the most recent driver and giving it a shot.

Many different things can cause buffer overruns. This is a common attack that hackers use to exploit bad C code. In this case, since it's a video game...I'm going to say graphics driver.

You can actually see an example of the same behavior here:

I hope this helps! If this did help you, please give a thumbs up!

Buffer Override Detected

A buffer is a place to store data. You have a buffer overrun when to much data is sent to that place. It is used a lot by people who write virus programs and try to start a virus. It would be a good idea to check your entire drive for virus. The above link explains the same thing.

Philips Device Manager - MP3 - SA1125

I had this problem twice, the player keeps displaying some pixels spreaded randomly on the screen when I press the play/pause button or when its connected to the pc, while Philips Device Manager keeps displaying the error:
"Buffer overrun detected! Program: ...hilips\SA21xx\Device Manage.exe A buffer overrun has been detected wich has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated." (I have an old SA2115/02 device)
When I contacted Philips about this problem, they said to bring the device to them but it was out of service.
So I tried lots of repair/recvery programs and got to a point where I couldn't even format the player cause of the write-protected error. I was about to trash it when I tried this last method :
-I used an USB cable extender so I won't brake my PC's USB port
-I started Philips Device Manager
-I began pluggin/unpluggin the device repeatedly while Philips Device Manager was loading
-after the program loaded and recognized the player without giving me the error above, I left the device plugged
-I used the repair option, took a deep breath and waited until the operation was finished and voila!

Now I don't know if it will also work for you because I tried lots of rude methods wich I don't remember the exact order, like the first time I've repaired it, but it's worth trying.

Good luck!

Error code.

Are you sure it doesn't say Frontpg.exe? I'm not familiar with Frontog.exe, but Frontpg.exe is the primary executable for Microsoft Frontpage.

If it is Frontpg.exe, the first thing I would suggest is to make sure you have any security updates available for your version of Frontpage. I believe you can update that at http://microsoft.update.com as part of Windows Update.

I haven't been able to find any knowledge base articles on this particular error. See if you have all the most recent patches - if not, download the newest ones and see if that helps. If it doesn't help, let me know and I'll try to dig deeper.
