Where can I find carteidge holders for BJC-80 Cannon printer

Please click on Printers & Faxes and select your printer. Right click on the icon and click Properties. Click the maintenance tab on the page displayed. Carry out the Nozzle cleaning and the Print Head Alignment Tasks. Now try again printing. If it is OK, then requested that carryout these tasks once month if you are using printer very frequently. If it does not solve your problem then the fault lies with the Print Head which requires adjustment/replacement, which can be done at the Cannon service centres. The poor print quality is due to print heads and the this problem is very common in BJC 80 printer. There have been numerous complaints regarding the print head. You can do nothing except replace it.

Printer was listed in the Vista of printers on my verison.

Their is no VISTA driver for this model and if it is very old or no longer made it is extremely doubtful that Canon will write one for it; and for sure no one else will either.Sorry.    Plese don't rate me badly for telling the whole truth and answering you question completely,but not what you wanted to hear.

BJC-80, USB to PARALLEL cable & XP problem solved! I read all the comments, instructions, etc. and was ready to give up, but posed the problem to my son (who has a computer repair business, duh), and I'm not sure I have this correct he simply Dis-abled the bi-directional communications in the set up, gave the cable and printer a designated USB port, got the driver for the BJC-80 ... not BJC-85 ... and it works fine. I do not have the scanner cartridge but I have 2 BJC-80s and love them but gave up when got the new computer. Well, I just ran off 2 pages after cleaning the cartridges and cartridge holder with alcohol on TP, because they had dried up hard, and it works great in both B&W & color, at least on draft mode so far. (My son will not post anything because he does not want a bunch of calls coming in, and I don't know any more, but I just could not bring myself to give up these great little printers for on the go Realtors, etc. without another good old college try). Glad to have my printers back! Good luck.

and try the XP driver. If this doesn't work, you may not be able to interface this printer to Vista.

3: Plug in Power Cord

4: Release buttons after the printers starts up

5: Hold CARTRIDGE and RESUME

6: Press POWER

7: Release all buttons after the beeps

8: Press CARTRIDGE 16 times

9: Press RESUME

10: Unplug the Power cord
