Question about Nikon Coolpix 3200 Digital Camera
When I put the Compact Flash card into my card reader or plug the camera in to my computer I get a message saying the card is unreadable and asking if I want to format it?
Certain system software is needed to allow a Macintosh (running Macintosh OS 9.x or earlier) to access mounted compact flash cards. If this required software is not installed the computer will not be able to recognize the card and will display the following error: DO NOT press the "Initialize" button, as this will completely erase the card and destroy all images. Click the "Eject" button and then enable the necessary system software. The following Extensions or Control Panels need to be activated: File Exchange - Control Panel Foreign File Access - Extension The "Extensions Manager" Control Panel (found under the "Apple" menu) can be used to enable these items. After switching them "On" restart the computer to apply the changes. After restarting the computer insert the card and it will mount on the desktop like any removable disk.
