Question about Nikon Coolpix 3200 Digital Camera
How do I generate a report about my computer system?
Occasionally Nikon Technical Support will ask for "System Summary" report which details the specifics about your computer system. These reports are very useful in that they not only give the make and model of your computer and installed accessories but also list software and accessories which may be causing problems. To generate the report is easy: Windows XP, 2000, ME and 98 From the "Start" menu choose: /programs/accessories/system tools/system information When the system information window opens it will take a few moments for the utility to display the system information. Once the information is shown ensure that "System Summary" at the top is highlighted then select the "File" menu and choose "Export". Save the file as a text document. Macintosh OS X: From the Apple Menu choose "About this Mac..." and click the "More Info" button in the About window. When the Apple System Profiler window opens it will take a few moments for the utility to display the system information. Once the information is shown choose "Export" from the "File" menu and save the file as a "Plain Text" document. After saving the report simply reply to the email from Nikon and attach the document or go to the "Ask Nikon a Question" tab near the top of the page and attach the report. No personal data or documents stored on your computer is included in the report.
