I suggest you Google search the Internet for a battery for your model netbook. You can then compare the prices from various suppliers.

Before buying a new battery and borrow from someone like the battery charger. Try either the battery is charging. or a second battery. You can find out whether an error loading chip are faulty or defective battery or battery charger.

OK, I had the same problem as you have, except the battery wouldn't charge beyond 0%.

Sounds like you need to buy a new battery for the netbook.

This problem is usually caused by either a worn out battery (if you've had it for quite a while) or a faulty adapter/power cord. If you know anyone who has a similar Acer Aspire One Netbook, you could try using their battery and/or power cord to narrow down the issue. You can also buy laptop/netbook batteries relatively cheap on eBay and even if the batter ends up not being the issue, you will have a spare battery to take with you or for down the road when your current battery wears out.

There is a coin cell battery inside the netbook that needs to be changed.
