I have a Williams Encore Digital piano. When I power up there is no sound. Upon power up there are 8 small rectangle on the LCD screen. 7 red light are lit. They are the 4 lights above the "user song" button" as well as the "song" "left" and "right" buttons. Do you know the reason there is no sound coming from the instrument? Is there a way to reset it? Thank you.

TIP ON NO SOUND....... Hey Guys, I just got a Williams Encore at the thrift store for 40 bucks, it powered on but had no sound. I opened it up and removed the button cell battery while the unit was un plugged. Then I powered it on with out the battery & it worked. Shut it off & replaced the battery then powered it back up... it still works! Removing the battery forces a rest... Good Luck...

Holding the page up and down buttons while powering on supposedly resets it. I have no sound except demos, but no lights showing like yours, and williams tech support said to reset that way but it didn't seem to do anything. Good luck hope this helps!

Why do keys produce no sound?

Hi Kyle:
Have a look at your manual.
Sometimes you'll find that there will be an "input" setting required.
You might also try google with his link.

Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Can an inverter that powers the back light of an LCD display of a Technics PR-305 be repaired to make it light up brighter?

Yes. It is a fluorescent tube. It has to be from the OEM though.. It usually comes as a diver board and tube assy.

I have a Technics PR-305 Digital piano The back light is barely light when I turn on the piano Can that be replaced?

yes maybe you may fined that some of the power to the led is being blocked by causing a larger resistant to the led which will cause it not to light up as bright.

Volume on the piano is less than half the volume it should be. Demo and play along songs play at full volume but keyboard wont no matter how hard the key is pressed, Is there a fix for this...

Pianos do NOT respond to keys pressed hard... they respond to FAST presses. If you have an issue with the piano, first go on record to activate your warranty. Most of these electronics DO have a setting that adjusts the "feel" which affects the loudness versus key velocity... Now here is a secret??? Shh... The manufacturers turn up the demos just like the advertisers turn up the commercials on the TV... I would suggest looking for the adjustment of feel, and if that doesn't get satisfactory results, find another and compare yours to another... if yours is still underperforming, exercise your warranty for repair or replacement.

Hi, I just got a new williams allegro digital piano, and the right speaker sounds noise with low keys.

If this is a brand new unit, exercise your warranty!

BUT FIRST see if packing material worked through the speaker grill... you know littel pieces of the packing peanuts or otherr contamination that sits in the speaker cone and rattles.

The Williams Sytmphonic keyboard was toppled and disconnected feom pedelshow to reconnect expressikon pedels to piano keyboard

Here is a link:http://www.williamspianos.com/products/encore.cfm If you don't have one, download the manual. If it still doesn't play correctly with the pedal connected according to the manual you will have to contact them to see about servicing. The information is also at that link.

The input for the ac adapter is loose and cuts outt all the time.

Connector is probably damaged. If you can open the unit you can get replacement connector from DigiKey.com and Mouser.com. You need to compare dimensions of the barrel AND the pin to insure you get the correct part. Also the pins that go through the board. One could go through Williams, but they may not have a parts dept.
