Start won't work. - Dishwashers

A check should be made with the volt/ohmmeter to check if voltage is available to the dishwasher wiring. A voltage check is made by setting the volt/ohmmeter on the 150 A/C scale and placing one probe of the volt/ohmmeter on one wire that supplies voltage to the dishwasher. Place the other probe on the remaining wire. The meter should read 110-125 volts. This would indicate that electrical power was available from the circuit breaker panel to the dishwasher terminal box. If there is no voltage at the dishwasher terminal box electrical wires, the problem could be a defective circuit breaker or fuse, house wiring burned or broken from circuit breaker panel to terminal box. If a defective circuit breaker or fuse is suspected, it would be recommended that a qualified electrician perform these repairs.
