One of the most common issues with setting up a wireless router is either not turning on the wireless portion of your router or the wireless card in your laptop or desktop PC.

Somewhere on the setup screen of your router will be a checkbox that will be labeled as enabling wireless, enabling radio, or something similar to that. Ensure that the checkbox is actually turned on. Your laptop will also have either a separate switch or function key combination that will enable your wireless card. Ensure that the switch is turned on or the function key combo has been used to turn on the wireless card.

On both the router and the wireless card there will be lights that should be on to let you know that the wireless portion of that hardware has been enabled. If both have been enabled but you still cannot connect wirelessly then please update your query. If you can identify the router and wireless card you are using and provide us with some details of where you are in the setup process it will make it much easier for us to assist you in resolving your issue. Thank you for allowing us to assist you in resolving your issue.

It is possible that the Xbox will be unable to pick up the wireless signal being transmitted by your gateway because the signal is too weak.

The connection speed of your internet has nothing to do with the strength of the signal. The best way to test this would be to try to connect to your wireless internet on a laptop while sitting near the xbox. If you cannot, you will know that the signal isn't powerful enough to reach that location.

There are three common options to amplifying your signal if necessary.

1) Purchase a High-gain antenna for your wireless gateway
2) Purchase a wireless repeater
3) Purchase a new router/gateway with a longer range capability. A "Wireless N" enabled router would be optimal for this application.

WIFI not working with Linksys wireless-g broadband router/Comcast

Unplugging the wireless router and connecting it again should not have altered the wireless connection/configuration. You have connected the cables correctly because the Internet works when you connect a LAN cable to the router.
The Linksys wireless configuration or the wireless card configuration in the computer was changed it to lose the wireless connection. The wireless card configuration needs to be changed to match the wireless router's settings or change the Linksys with new configuration settings and configure the wireless card accordingly.

Youe broadband router is working ok with the broadband cable. So it is configured with the broadband cable. Now,to work with the wireless internet, you have to configured the wi-fi router to work internet. You can see the wi-fi connection but unless & untill you will configure wi-fi router it must not work or if before it was working with the wi-fi then you can check the wi-fi router setting because it might change by mistake.Surely it will work after configurating wi-fi router.

Can't pick up wireless internet through router

You need to have the specific wireless adapter made for the Xbox 360. It runs about $100. Other wireless adapters (for some reason) will not work. I tried 6 different ones before I gave up and hard wired the Xbox 360.

My Wireless internet card don't work

i think you are a little confused, your laptop may have a wireless card internally, but you need a wireless broadband or cable router for the wireless adapter to pick up a signal.

A fax modem cannot be wireless and cannot be broadband as you cannot fax using a broadband connection.

Assuming you have a broadband connection you will need a wireless modem/ router or roter connected to a broadband modem, not a standard 56k dialup modem as they aren't wireless or broadband.
