Hi, just bought a reconditioned Fuji Finepix S7000 digital camera. After installing the software I get a pop up error message saying: "The file FINEPIXVIEWER.EXE associated with DDRAW.DLL:DirectDrawCreateEx does not exist". I have tried reinstalling the software 5 times and get the same error message. Any ideas?

Re: Fuji Camera software
A current version of DirectX should install that file. Check for your version of DirectX by clicking on Start-Run, type dxdiag.exe, then click on OK. When the DirectX diagnostic page loads, you should be able to see the DirectX version you have installed.
If you are not currently at DirectX 8.1 or higher, and because you have Windows 98 and an unknown video card, please download DX 8.1 from the link below:
DirectX 8.1 Runtime for Windows 98 and Windows Me
There is a newer version but there are no guarantees that your current video card will support it. It's supported in Windows 98, but older cards sometimes have issues. Here's that link:
DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime
Hope this helps.

Need - software for Fuji
S7000 Digi camera
Should you run into any further problems with it, be sure to let me know.
Is the card larger than 2GB.
If so its too big for the S7000.
The only solution to more capacity is 2GB xd card + 2GB compact flash card.
Or just use as many XD cards as you need.
This is a common error in the FinePix product range. When you receive a "Card Error" or "Card Not Initialized" message, this indicates that your camera's memory may be temporarily corrupted. This can be due to not formatting your memory card on a consistent basis. Most users will use the "delete all" feature and continue to take pictures but by doing this the file format of the card may become unstable and unusable.
Fuji recommends formatting your memory card in your camera after saving the images from your previous shooting session. Once a memory card is formatted the images will not be recoverable. So format the current cards and they should be useable again.
The lens is probably jammed internally. Get an estimate from your local quality camera shop. Sometimes the problem is easy to repair and sometime you'll need a new lens assembly (may cost more than the camera.)
You should be able to. Most fuji drivers are built into windows (or windows update anyway). If you want the fuji software - go here http://www.fujifilmusa.com/JSP/fuji/epartners/ServiceSupportBrowse.jsp?prodcat=863590&sscucatid=664260
The manual describes all warnings the camera displays. Check the manual or go here for the manual online in pdf format. http://www.fujifilmusa.com/JSP/fuji/epartners/bin/S7000Manual.pdf
