Question about Hayward SP3015EEAZ Super II Pump 15Horse Power

I have a hayward super ii pump model sp1615z1 that wont start I replace the capacitor because it wasn't working when the timer turn it on.After replacing the capacitor the pump worked fine for a week then stopped working i opend up the back of thre pump and found a wire loose from the capacitor it connected back on and tried to run the pump manually and sparks start coming out of the motor do I need tio replace the pump or the motor i dont know what wrong with it i used another capacitor but it keeps giving out a cracking noise and sparks from the motor what is the cheapest way to fix it.

There is no cheap fix for a burned up motor...you'll need to replace it. You can replace just the motor for about half the cost of a whole new unit. When you replace the motor you should replace the pump seal as well. Your motor number should be UST1152 for the 1.5 HP and the seal number a 201.

Not sure if you will find such a diagram...
New installation?
Do the pumps have their own breaker?
Is your Super II pump a 2 speed?
What is the Thermostat for? Do you have a heater that you are trying to connect, so that the pump will come on when there is a demand for heat? Not really sure what the T-stat is mentioned for here?
You still only need to have 2 timers if I'm not missing something?
The T-106 will be for the Super II pump (presuming it is a 2 speed version) It will turn hi speed, on & off. or switch between them rather. I think I see why you may be inferring about a 3rd timer? You don't want to have pump running on "Low" speed continually. If so, Then you will need a 3rd timer (T-104) to provide power as Line to the T-106. The other T-104 will be for the booster pump for your cleaner.
The power for the Super II pump from the breaker will go to the 1st T-104 as "Line". Then from the Load portion of that timer, you will wire into the Line portion of the T-106. Following the instructions from the diagram at this website address for a PDF document:

you will complete the wiring to the Super II pump via the "Load" side of the T-106
The 2nd T-104 (pool sweep pump) will be wired: from the breaker to the "Line" portion of the timer. From the Load portion of the timer, you wire to the booster pump.

Hayward super ii wont start when cold

If this only happens when it is cold it is probally just a start capacitor. If you open the back of the motor it will be a black cilinder abount two inches by an inch around with two or three wires coming from it. Remove this noting where the wires hook up. I pool store or motor shop will have a new capacitor for you, but you have to bring the old one to match up. Replacing this should solve this problem for you.

Your pump is protected by a thermal device that shuts it off when over heated. Are you running 110 or 220? In my experience, your pump will run cooler on 220 ... consider coverting if appropriate.

I think your impeller may be stuck OR your start capacitor has failed. Your pump is going off on over load because it cannot turn or cannot start.

Pull the six bolts on the back of the pump and pull the motor and pump housing back. remove the difuser and try spinning the impeller. If it wont spin you may need a new motor. If you pull the wires. You can find a motor shop in your phone book and they can rebuild it for you usually for about 100 bucks. Or replace it with new for a lot cheaper than what your talking. Good luck.
