Samsung monitor troubleshooting

When the power light is flashing the monitor is not getting a stable signal. This is hard to answer without direct troubleshooting. Check the cables first, make sure they are connected securely. If you still have problems test another monitor you know works or move monitor to a computer you know works, this will determine if the monitor is the problem or not and tell you if it is your "graphics port or adapter". If another monitor works fine, use the working cables to test the "broken" monitor. If you have an "all-in-one" computer, ignore the above steps and use a start-up repair disk. The reason this is hard to troubleshoot is there are so many things to diagnose. More than likely your "graphics card" is failing. These are some tricks to repair. You can update the driver, buy a graphic card separate from the stock port.

When the monitor starts up you should be able to see the Samsung screen logo, if not it does point to the monitor. But lets be sure! hook a spare monitor to the computer, if it is okay! the Samsung Monitor is the problem and is not cost effective to repair, cheaper to replace. Now if both screens show the same problem, this indicates the Video Graphics Card in the computer is the culprit.

A flashing power light like that indicated a blown power supply. Your monitor should be under warranty with Samsung. Check the mfg date on the back sticker, if it is less than 3 years then contact Samsung. If it is out of warranty then contact us at [email protected] and we can get you the info you need to do the repair yourself.

I called tech support and it was suggested to send the acer AL2017 monitor back to them to make repairs to the circuit board.

I see many monitor with that trouble.
When you turn on comp., you can have a picture on monitor about 10-30 min. and that go in black screen, or If you change resolution again go in black screen.
You must repair monitor or bay another.

Your monitor is having a problem with the power supply. Because of the small spaces in the monitor case heat builds up and causes parts called capacitors to blow. If you can solder you should be able to do the repair yourself. Go to our web page at:
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm and look at the pictures and repair guides. Open your monitor and look for parts that look like the pictures. Replace any that you see and your monitor should be back operational.Be sure to install the new parts with the polarity stripe on the side going the same direction as the bad ones came out. You will need to replace them with a high quality part with high temp value (105c). If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service.

it happened may b due to inproper power supply.So check the monitor data cable & other connections also.

jane657, Hi there. Will you stop pushing the On/Off button on your lcd/fpd. It's Broke. Period. End. Finito!!! You will not fix it. However there is one test that you should do to determine hoe bad the problem is. You will need to reconnect the 931B to a known good pc that has been fully booted and has the WIN-DESKTOP or IE fixya web page showing. quickly connect the931B to the wall outlet and the PC. Turn on the monitor!!! Yes, I know it will only come on for a second..After the screen goes to BLACK, Shine a bright flashlight onto the screen at different angles, 1-2 inches from the screen. Let me know if you see something even though the screen is black. Anyway here are your options as a consumer/user. 1. Check if unit is under warranty. 2. Check withh Samsung to see if they have a SWAPOUT program. You send them your monitor+$40-$90 and they return a refurbished same model to you with a 30 day warranty. 3. Trade in for new monitor. 4. Check with local TV/Monitor repair guy who knows all there is to know about cold-cathode-fluorescent-tubes, their power-source(inverter type) and lcd monitor power supplys (SMPS) 5.
