While taking a video there is no volume. How can i turn the volume on so there will be sound during the video?

Volume keys: These keys allows you to turn up or down the volume of the ringtone and the speaker. Press these keys to turn the volume display on, and to change the volume.
To lower the volume of the ringer during an incoming call, press the down volume key to the desired volume, or until the option changes to Vibration All Activated. The volume keys can also be used to scroll up or down to navigate through the different menu options. These keys are also
used when the Music Player is active. While on call turn on the speaker and increase the volume with the Volume Key.

On the Setup Menu there is a "Sound Settings" item. Here you can turn on/off the button sound, control the shutter sound, and the volume of the shutter sound and the startup sound.

During movie and audio playback, you can adjust the volume by pressing the zoom buttons. W to lower, T to raise.

Bear in mind that the CoolPix wasn't really designed as a video camera or an audio recorder. It only has a small, not very sensitive microphone, so you're not going to get much sound from any distance.

hi i downloaded windows 7 and now my touch volume control does not work what should i do

Now volume is relative to the person listening,
so based on when you can hear the tv correctly during a normal show,

if you hear normaly we will call that 50%
how much louder does it get on commercials from 50%

there are in the menus different sound fields, have you found out how to change them? Take the tv out of surround mode and see if that helps. Just set it to stereo.

give me a model # and I will tell you where in the menu it is if you cannot find it.

I also need to know, are you running through an amp?
Do you have a cable box, because in those there is also a setting for surround.
it sounds like you have surround set, but no surround speakers.

since you didn't turn on the sound during the coverage there is no way you can have sound because you have disable the sound but if you did not reduce the sound totaly that is you can hear sound but not too high i will surgest you take it to studio so they can edit it but you let them know that you turn off the sound when you do the coverage so they will let you know if remedy can be done to it.

Page 33 of your user manual explains how to turn on the microphone to make sure that sound is recorded when taking movie clips. You cannot adjust the recording volume. Page 35 discusses how to adjust the volume during movie playback only.

Be sure that the camera is able to record with sound. When you mean no sound during playback are you talking about playback thru the camera or playback on computer after you download it. Be sure that your camera has a speaker on it to play sound back or that the volume playback is turned up. Also, to help with your situation a little better when asking for help list the model number and manufacture when ever possible. It will help with lengthy feedbacks.

The camcorder sound can be set to one of ten levels, with 0 being no sound at all.

Turn the camcorder on and let it boot up. Press the Mode button. Move the cursor to the bottom icon, the "hammer and screwdriver." Press the Menu button to select this icon. Now use the down arrow button to scroll down to "Volume." Now press the menu key to select this, and you can check/set your volume as you wish.

The game you are playing should have an adjustment for online chat volume when you are in the options for online play, alternitavely if you use a bluetooth headset you can control the sound of the other players with the headset.

I have this camera and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to turn that sound off. It's odd because I have an IS-DV2+ also and if I turn the volume all the way down, that sound is muted as welll. I don't know what goes on at Aiptek...
