You should have two fuel lines going from the carb to the tank, one has a filter,

make sure both lines are good without any breaks or cracks. if the filter is dirty

you may need to replace it. you can fish it out of the gas tank by making a hook

on a wired coat hanger, try to remove the filter and put the line back in the tank

make sure they are both submerged, if it runs just replace the filter, good luck!

Fuel is pouring into the cylinder my Briggs and Straton 310777-0112-E1 and being pumped back into the air filter area and out the exhaust.

Your float is stuck open in your carburator. If you are able, take the bowl off the bottom of the carb, then carefully remove the float. shake it to be certain it isnt full of gas..... if so, replace the ffloat with a new one.....the sliding pin should drop. If you have the model with an electrical wire going into a solenoid at the bottom, carefully disconnect the wire, (remove the negative ground from your battery first) then unscrew the solenoid........clean the needle on either tthe electric or manual as well as the seat........air works best.....no metal ever. Replace in reverse order.

I have a Briggs and Straton 6.5 OHV from a Chipper/Shredder..Will turn over with starting fluid but dies. New gas, plug air filter. Carb taken off and cleaned. Cannot blow air thru the plastic 90 degree...

you have a problem with fuel getting into the carb bowl. so either fuel line is stopped up or the needle valve hole is stopped up. should be a simple problem.

12hp brigg & stratton engine gas mixing with oil in engine block..when start engine runs high rpm can not idle & look like gas come out carb air cleaner overflows & flood out & stop engine...

Sounds to me like the float needle valve in the carb is leaking. This will cause fuel to over flow out of carb, and will even get into the engine oil. Check to be sure that float is not got gas in it the can go bad. Also check float adjustment. Check needle and seat very carefully for dirt or wear. Just the slightest bit of dirt or wear can cause it to leak. Hope this helps.

I can start my 4.75 HP Briggs & Stratton Lawnmower but it dies after a few minutes. I replaced the armature but the same thing happens. I can keep it running if I press the prime bulb a couple of times...

Try replacing the float and needle. The float (floats) and pulls the needle up to let gas through to the carb. It will stay running as long as you press the prime bulb because this sends gas straight to the carb without going through the gas bowl. It's best to remove the carb and clean it then replace the float and needle

Briggs & Straton 20 HP, two cilinder engine idle speed

Surging is usually caused by a lean condition You can try to turn the mixture screw ccw about 1/4 to 1/2 turn. If this does not solve the problem your carb will have to be removed, cleaned thoroughly, and reinstalled.

Walbro Carburetor on Briggs & Stratton Model 28R707

If the float don't float, the needle valve stays open and gas runs into crankcase.

If float floats (has no gas inside) then the needlel is probably worn and needs replacement.

Gas in oil 12.5 hp briggs and straton will not start

the float in the carb is stuck open, its flooding with gas. the gasoline is going past the rings and/or valves into the crankcase. you need to remove the float bowl and unstick and reset the float to specs, maybe a new seat and needle and change the oil before restarting.

Flooding of carb need to know how to check float ,has briggs and straton engine, can't find parts manual

take the bowl off the carb wiggle the float up an down and watch an see if the float value moves up and down with the float.if it don't that means your float value is stuck open. just take out the float and value, an clean the float value with 400 grit sandpaper, spray everything with carb cleaner, an put it back together
