The PC-AD can only be used with 5V SmartMedia. The PC-AD2 is compatible with SmartMedia of 3.3V/5V, 2MB to 8MB. The PC-AD3 is compatible with SmartMedia of 3.3V/5V, 2MB to 32MB.
