I am on windows 7 with a vn 960pc digital voice recorder. Problem: I can not transfer folders (files) from recorder to PC. The computer reads the files, detects the recorder but won't transfer folder...

Probably a bit late but I got my Olympus VN-960PC Digital Voice Recorder to work on my MacBook Pro running Win7 with Bootcamp by using this site and DL's from there....

My Olympus Digital Wave Program will shuts down at the open menu on my computer. I have Windows Vista Operating System.

Has this ever worked...what has changed????
The VN-960PC is compatable with Vista 32 Bit systems but not 64 Bit systems.??

Driver vn-960pc for vista 64

Unfortunately this recorder is not designed to work on a Vista 64 bit OS. We have introduced the new VN-3200PC and the VN-5200PC which are compatible to that OS.

Vista compatible software can be downloaded here:
http://downloads.olympus-europa.com/consumer/VoiceRecorder/720/eng_2000_xp.zip

After installing the software you need to install following updates
http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/DWPUP4EN.zip
http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/DigitalWavePlayerUpdate214.zip

The software will work with the 32 bit edition of win Vista, not with the 64 bit edition.

Downloading audiofiles from Olympus VN-960PC

I figured it out.

My VN-960 wouldn't recognize because windows didn't have a driver for it.

With the Install CD still in the drive, Go to the control panel, New Hardware, then wait for it to finish searching. Click on My Hardware is connected, then choos the Digital Wave Recorder, and then find driver. It should install the driver and Work now!
