This is caused when you are using Continuous AF as the focus mode. With Continuous AF, the camera continually changes the focus by moving the lens whenever the distance from the subject changes. This is the source of the noise, which does not indicate malfunction.

I recorded videos at a concert with the new nikon coolpix L810 and the sound on the video is horrible. What is causing the noise in my video? sounds like wind is blowing or a crackling noise

The problem is the microphone on the camera. The mic on the camera is for recording sound in more normal environments. The sound level on a typical concert is much higher than normal, and the mic on the camera just doesn't have what it takes to record sound at those levels.

One possible solution is to record the sound with a dedicated audio recording device, and combine the video and audio in your video editing software.

How do i turn on the webcam?

Compaq Presario CQ50-215NR notebook, come with a program called QuickPlay. You can use QuickPlay, a free software program, to play audio and video, to view pictures, and to record videos with your webcam or take pictures.
  • Click on "Start," "All Programs" and "QuickPlay."

  • 2Click on the "Video Icon" that is located on the tool bar of the program, next to the DVD option. Once you've done this you will be able to view yourself on your computer screen.
  • Click on the "Record" button or the "Snapshot" icon to begin using your webcam. The record option will record video, whereas the snapshot will take a picture of yourself using the webcam.

  • hope this helps

How come there is no sound when ii recoerd

You don't say what your camera is. Many digital cameras made for still photography have the ability to record video clips, but most of them don't record sound. They don't even have a microphone. I don't know about your camera, as you haven't identified it, but if it is a snapshot type camera it would be entirely normal if it didn't have sound capability.

This thing recorded video without audio.

No, sorry. This camera has a small glitch where it occasionally records video without sound, especially if it has been on for a while. In order to fix this, you can simply turn the camera off and on when it is recording without sound.

Everytime I take a snapshot, I have to wait 30 secs to take another picture. I get something that looks like a musical note on the top and 30sec on the right, start shutter on the bottom. I use this...

This is called '"Audio Snap" and allows you to record some audio to accompany your snapshots.

To switch the function off, turn the camera on as if taking pictures, and press the Menu button. On the "Rec" tab, select "Audio Snap" and then the > arrow. Then use the up and down arrows to toggle between on and off.

I had the same problem and had to trawl through the manual on the Casio website. Fairplay to them, it did resolve the issue.
