Fuse blown to right turn signal when hooking up utility trailer

Two times I have blown a right turn signal fuse, after I hook up plug to utility trailer. Taken to dealer they replace fuse but do not fix problem. I don't want to trouble shoot unless I know where the fuse is blown, the dealer ship did not share that info. I checked all fuses in fuse box next to the dash, did not find any blown. Could this fuse be some where else? The part number is 12092079 fuse 8.965. Could it be a problem with the utility trailer? I could try some things to find out if I knew where the fuse to the right turn signal is located.

Fuse is underhood in power dist box.
if you only blow when hooked to trailer it is a problem with trailer wiring or light

Trailer turn signals work. but markers lights do not?
there are fuses for all lights in your truck. those fuses sre located in the IPDM box, whiich is the box by the battery. there is a black cover about 6inches by 7inches. under that lid is the IPDM where you need to look and fine the fuse that is blown. start there. if the fuse is blown, replace it and recheck your rear plug for power at appropriate pins. if you have power everywhere at the connector and then you plug your trailer to it and the same fuse blows again, then i would be looking at the trailer harness for short causing the fuse to blow.

Right trailer turn signal does not work when hooked up to my 2003 gmc sierra. The light does work on the truck. Trailer light does work when hooked up with my other vehicles.
Check the plug at your gmc outlet, your right signal wire has been damaged before the plug somewhere. If you have a test light switch your right signal on and make sure it is working at the plug on your gmc, you will find it is not working, than trace the wire back from the plug till you find where it has been damaged or you can run a wire straight from plug to your right signal.

There are seperate fuses for each of the wires to the trailer plug; Right Brake/turn, Left Brake/turn, and lights.... Fuses are under the hood.

We have a 2003 f250 super duty. We have no power
Check fuse #6 20amp on your interior fuse panel it may be blown. The relays are located in an auxillary relay box located under the hood on the drivers side fender near the firewall. The system uses 2 relays. One relay turns on for left turn signal, other relay turns on for right signal. Both relays turn on for brake lamps. The fuse #6 is more likely the problem. If the fuse is blown, replace it, wiggle the wiring on the trailer while someone steps on brakes to check for shorts.

All lights work and brake light at top works. brake lights on bottom left and right don't work. It was hook up to trailer wires connection. going down the road and when you turn on the right turn signal...
Check a few things...
- The bulbs
- Check for ground at brake lamp connectors
- Check your wiring at the connectors for power
- Check for another fuse blown
- Do not hook up the trailer until you fix the ground problem on the trailer
- On some models, there is a module to control the rear/trailer lighting system. There may be a problem in the module.

Trailer wiring
found the problem. there are three fuse boxes under the hood. the smallest one on the back corner on the driver side next to the 2nd small fuse box. there are three fuse boxes under the hood and one under the steering wheel. each has fuses for the trailer hitch lights. thanks.

2003 denali trailer wiring
If your signals & brakes are on 2 different circuits, ( for example a red lens for stop & an Amber for turn.) then you'll need to buy a converter that goes between vehicle & trailer. They're not too expensive at any trailer or RV place. I think some of the autoparts stores stock them now too.
