Hi, the screen of my Toshiba Satellite A135-S4656 suddenly buzzes with horizontal stripes going across it. I can't say it is age cause I haven't had it for a year yet and the problem first started less than a month after getting it. It happens when the PC has been on for some time and even minutes after turning on. I'm really worried now because it has happened several times in the last few days and twice in five minutes, just now.

When it does this, can you press on the back of the screen and get any change? If so, then you have a loose screen connection. If not, then you most likely have a bad or failing screen that will eventually go out completely. The thing is, if it's a failing screen, it may last years, or it may go out the next time you turn it on. You can never tell with them. I'm betting on a loose connection.
That's awesome!!!!!!! I would love to visit Jamaica one of these days, I've been all over Asia, and a bit of Europe with the US Marine Corps. Love track & field, and I must say, the Jamaicians are exeptional this Olympics. Unfortunately, I haven't got to see Bolt run yet, been working too much lately, but you can bet your *** I'll find a clip on the net. My dad (40 year teacher/coach, football & track, retired) said he is phenominal. Anyway, let me know if this effects the screen next time it happens, and we'll see what we can do.

Press the "F8" key before the system boots into Windows. This BIOS screen appears.

Thanks Pyrhyc, I'll try it the next time it happens. Today I was really bummed out, it happened about 5 times (today)! I hope its a loose connection as u said. What I should add is that it usually happens when I'm watching a movie or playing a game.
Thanks!
PROUD TO BE JAMAICAN, BIG UP D OLYMPIC TEAM!!! :-)
