PROBLEM IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE TEMP SENSOR INSIDE ICE MAKER. I HAVE TRIED TO FIND THE PART, BUT WITH NO LUCK. IT LOOKS LIKE WE WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE A NEW ICE MAKER.
Not sure if this will work for you - I had a similar problem with a Kenmore fridge. I removed the ice tray and found a piece of ice stuck where the ice is made and dropped into the tray. Once I clear this obstruction, the ice maker worked again.
Also, check for the mechanism that indicates that the ice tray is full. This may be jammed or malfunctionin.
