You didn't give a model but there should be a key that says above or on the front of it caps or caps lock the code and that key should do it.

Where can I find the vertical typebar adjustment?

Guessing the buffer resting stops for smalls and possibly capitals have moved ir come loose? They should be adjustable with a small spanner and screwdriver. Or if not adjustable you might have to slightly slightly bend the resting stops! However before doing any off the a both check the plate under machine where the shift lock rests. That might be very loose abd give some similar problems. Best

Olympia Startype electric typewriter , make a funny noise and won't move carriage. Can not get it to work.

Turn it off and see if the carrier will move back and forth by hand if it will but feels a little gummy spray a little WD40 on the silver shafts that it slides on. If it won't move by hand look for debris in the carrier area.

The capital letter is not aligned with the small cap letter

ther is a set of screws that limit the up and down motion find them then loosen the locking nut and turn just a little at a time untill it is right.

How to type in capital letters on facit typewriter?

You did not specify if it was a manual or electric or the model, so assuming it is a standard manual or electric machine, push down on the shift key and hold it, then type your letter or letters. If you are typing everything in caps, press the shift lock key.

Lock switch stays on

The light goes on to indicate that the shift lock is engaged, so all letter type in upper case (capital) letters, or on machines with "spell check" to indicate a mis-spelled word. It should go out when you hit eithor left or right shift keys, correct the mis-spelled word or just continue typing.
If it just stays on all the time no matter what you do, there is a problem with the main board.
