The unit is 5 years - 6 days old !!!. When unit is turned on, it will sometimes trip out immediately and sometimes runs for a few (5) minutes.

I have the same exact problem, unit is exactly 5 yrs old. I replaced the breaker, still had the problem. Then moved it to a different part of the house, on a different breaker and same thing. Never had problems for five years until now.

Make sure that the circuit breaker for the electrical plug is not faulty, cause after a long lifetime of high amperage flowing through it, the springs will start to get weak. If this is the case then you need to replace the electrial breaker. Otherwise, make sure that the power system on the system is not pulling too much current, Or that there is not a faulty breaker inside the printer itself, which has become weak.

My Humidifier is 2 years old. It worked fine and now there is an "EC" code on panel

Unit malfunction. Dehumidifiers are designed to function within specific temperate ranges, usually between 50 and 80 degrees. Make sure that the ambient temperature of the room is within the range of your dehumidifier. Try not to run it continuously.

Tripping BreakerS

Same problem as both above. Humidifier trips after maybe 5 minutes. Top of machine is very warm; there's no on/off switch, so plugging in does nothing until the heat dissapates. What's the solution, to just buy a new piece of equipment?

Unit runs a lot. Doesn't condense much water. Sometimes fan runs alone, sometimes compressor runs alone.

You may also want to check the coils and make sure they do not have dirt or dust on them. If they are clean you may have an issue with the refrigerant level which will cause the coils not to cool properly. For that you will want to contact LG. There could be an issue with the compressor also. LG backs alot of their models with a 5 year warranty. Contact them and let them know about your issue. Make sure you still have your reciept. Here is their contact number:

Runs for a couple of minutes and then stops

Try cleaning out the air filter using cold water. I did not even know the unit had one until I had the same problem. Pull out the bucket. The filter is located where the front top edge of the bucket would be located if it were in the instrument. Remove it by pulling straight down. It may be taped to the instrument for shipping purposes. According to the manual, this should be done every month. I have had the machine since Katrina and this is the first time I have had a problem. Hope this helps.

H20 POURS OUT OF THE UNIT BEFORE BUCKET IS FULL

It sounds like your unit is freezing up. Let it set for a day then set to run on the 3 hr cycle. Also rase the % of humidity to 60 or 65, and if it starts working lower the % setting in a few days by 5% increments until you get to the setting you want. Also read your owners manual troubleshooting section lots of good tips.
