Re: I had download destruction derby 2 and it is in image...
Are you sure that the game contains only one CD.......Some games require 2 image files to be mounted on two Virtual Drives..........OR Copy Crack(if any) found on the image to the game directory..

ohhh, looks like you download IMAGE of CD/DVD with Red Alert 2 - right? Then you need virtual drive software to mount this image in your system, for examle you can use UltraISO or Alcohol120 or any other software wich hase virtual CD/DVD drive.
Using free software to image & run image on Virtual Drive.
By creating an image file of your CD to a location on your PC/Laptop, using IMGBurn from http://www.imgburn.com/
I got talonsoft eastfront II to run on my windows 7 laptop by using two pieces of software. First I use vmware player and created a virtual machine with a winxp install. Second, I ripped the original game CD using alcohol. This creates an image that preserves the special formatting that is necessary because of the SafeDisc copy protection that is used in this talonsoft game. I mount this image using alcohol since my laptop does not have an optical drive. The vmware player sees the mounted image as a normal cd drive with the original game cd in it. I can install and play eastfront II in the win xp virtual machine. I installed the 1.02 patch. No other special settings were necessary. All features appear to work with this setup. The videos play, the unit viewer works (help files with transparency does not work in win 7 normally), background music and sfx are streamed off the virtual cd.
You don't extract the contents in any iso files in the way you are doing, you just burn image iso files to an CD/DVD using any image burning software eg imgburn, nero, magicISO, etc....and install the software from the burned CD/DVD.
or
You can load the iso image with a virtual Drive,(ie if you virtual Drive support iso format), and install the software from the virtual Drive.
use an image mounting software such as magicdisc(it is free). and create a virtual drive. mount cd1 image on it and start install. when it asks for cd2 mount that image. and you are there.
If you are installing on the same disk that has another operating system installed, you have to make a separate partition on your hard drive, or, you can install inside a program like virtual box. The truly best way is to just burn the iso image to a CD/DVD...and when you install it, it will find the formatted empty partition. But, you can "mount" it with a program like Virtual Clone Drive (my favorite) ...Windows then runs it like its running from a disk, and will install it. But, you still have to have a clean, newly formatted partition, or install VirtualBox (which I recommend you have a lot of memory to do this...)
If you already have VDRIVE or similar installed then select the image
right click and select MOUNT or INSTALL IMAGE (it may vary depending on the program you used to set up a virtual drive
Most of those programs integrate with the right click tool-bar.
Hi elago
Don't fear griffin is here.
First thing mounting a file(image of a cd) means loading the file to the virtual drive which is created by your daemon tool.Go to daemon tool in the task bar ,rt click ,see an option asking no of virtual drives u want maybe 1 or 2.select 1 or 2.
This will result in found new hardware utility to work automatically and new drives will be formed in your My computer panel.
Now ,again go to daemon tool and according to the drive name mount the image(which are in the format .nrg/.iso/.bin/.mds/.ccd) from your system onto the drive.
now you will have flight simltr cd in ur drive and can install from it easily.
Happy crashing
waiting for ur fixya.
