How do I enlarge the picture on ther screen using the remote

You did not list your brand of TV, so this may not be applicable in your case: on a Samsung Smart TV, use the remote to open the "tools" menu; the picture size and other picture options will appear on the upper right screen. However, please note that some cable/satellite channels do not fill up large screen TVs no matter what tools or settings are available. The "Chiller" channel on my set always has a border; all the other channels fit the screen accordingly.

Picture doesn't fit screen. A 1-1/2 inch wide band on top and bottom of screen. Have tried the picture button on remote but it only gives me options ie: Panoramic, standard, wide etc. Nothing seems to

Many units will self adjust the image size, but the size of the image you will see depends on what size it was originally recorded in. You can change it in the settings of the TV but most likely it will not go bigger if it was shot smaller.

Emerson 32 HDTV LCD...my picture is smaller than the screen. How do I make the picture fit the screen. I'm missing a few inches of the images on both side...?

Most Emerson remote controls have a "FORMAT" button. Each button press cycles through TV Screen aspect ratio choices, such as Normal, Movie Expand, Wide, Zoom, etc. Pick one that fills your screen. You will probably have to change this setting again, depending on the signal source or channel selected.

The button cycles through the choices in a loop, so you can always get back to Normal.

CANT GET full screen on my 22 inch tv

Hello tbcb83,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

Your issue is most like caused by the video source you are veiwing being at a smaller resolution than the TV can actually display. Example: If your TV can output at 1366w x 768h and your video source is only 640w x 480h, then you will see black boarders on the left and right side of the screen.
The video source is smaller than the screen display limit, and unless your TV is set to "Auto Fit" your will have to use the optional settings of "Wide", "Panaoramic", or "Zoom" to get the image to fit the screen, or as close as possible.

Have a great day!

I have an 42LG50 and the picture is now a smaller box on the screen and the manual is now help in enlarging the picture, any ideas?

You possibly have the screen set to the 4:3 ratio. On the remote control use the aspect ratio button to toggle through the different size screen formats eg 16:9 etc. this will enlarge the picture to fill the screen.

Picture doesnt fit whole screen

There should be a right and left alighnment on the OSD menu or an auto button to centre the desktop. Also check your screen resolution as 1280x1024 or 1024x768 should be fine.
