The Problem is the coffe pot will not turn. Ithink the problem is swicth is bad.

Common problem, it is hard water issue, these coffee makers do not handle even slightly hard water as deposits build up quickly blocking water flow to element. Try one of the many coffee pot cleaners, but if it is as bad as described, may not be enough to clean out coils.

the coffe make is on a sencer timer built in coffe make for securty reasons its shots off after so many min. they built them that way so just in case someone forgets to turn off coffe maker and no ones home and burnes the place down.

Check programming.This is very simple;turn switch on and hold brew switch until you here 3 clicks to start brew timer .When desired level is reached turn off on/off switch on front panel to set brew time.Check brew level now.

Sometimes coffee grounds get into the intake if you don't use the intake filter. Unplug, set the pot aside and then turn the coffe maker upside down in a sink with a good hose sprayer. Direct the water up into the intake side of the coffe maker with the filter out.

Then refill and see if water will flow through. If it works, run vinegar or a pot of water with a tablespoon of dissolved baking soda (dissolve in pot first or it will clog the coffee maker).

It worked for me.

I have an "Atomic" globe type art deco Manning Bowman percolator from 1947. It does not have a thermostat, just a fuse.

If your pot is blowing the fuse, are you using one with the correct amperage for the pot? This pot pulls 350 watts which works out to 3.18 amps. watts/volts=amps. You'd need a fuse that would allow the heating element to generate a minimum of 350 watts before blowung.

Wal-Mart,  BI-mart, Target, K-mart those kinda stores usally have them. or you can find the cook web site and try that.

I threw out the coffee pot. The replacement carafe was more expensive than the entire coffeepot!

I found on online operater's manual for this coffee pot and solved the problem.

Leave the carafe off the hot plate and place the basket in holder with the lip under hinged flange so it sits flat. Then replace the carafe and the basket should not move up when the Pause and Serve button opens. I just bought this pot too and
love it but except for the basket placement problem.
