This is a problem associated with the drum not emptying water - usually a blocked empty pump filter. Electrolux have an excellent support site. Go to:

Washing machine keeps stopping

E20 not draining error. Since you checked filter at bottom right corner for blockages, then maybe the drain pump has gone faulty or something jammed in it. You can also check the drain hose for kinks or blockages. You can try blowing out any cloggs in the machine with an air compressor.

Please let me know if you need any further help, otherwise good luck on fixing your problem.

Hi Ihave an electrolux EWD 1477 washer/ dryer. It keeps showing up an error 20 (E20) and starts beeping and stops working? Any ideas what it could be? Thanks kindly

Drainage problem. If it is a new installation the possible causes can be:
- The drainage hose is too deep in the drain (can only be max. 10 cm. in the drain, and the drain height may be a minimum of 30cm and a maximum of 80cm from the floor);
-
The drainage pump may be blocked (clean it);
- The drain is clogged.

Zanussi washer dryer showing e20 error message in dryig cycle

Hi

This means that the filter is clogged. Unscrew the filter it'll be full of lint. E20 also means drain problem. If it actually goes through the Spin cycle then there is most likely some water still not drained out at the time of the tumble dry. Check the drain and the hose to make sure it isn't clogged.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

E20 message

The filter is blocked. Disconnect your power source. Open the panel. Have a towel or wet vac handy and a screw driver. There is a silver ring circling the drainage hose with a small screw on top. Loosen the screw. Pinch the hose on top and let water drain to wet vac or towel. Completely remove the hose from it's housing. Reach your thumb and index finger inside that same hose and pull out the filter. It looks like a small plastic cup with holes in it. Clean it out, wash it. Use your fingers or dry vac hose and feel the bottom of the inside of the hose where the plastic cup came from. Remove any debri that excaped past the filter with fingers or suction with hose til you can feel with your fingers that the bottom of the inside of the hose is clear. return the cup back inside the hose. Put the silver ring over the lip of the hose then place the hose back on it's metal housing which is attached to the machine. Make sure the hole is secured around the entire metal (if not you will get leakage). Tighten the small screw, pull down at the hose making sure it will not come off with the pressure of the water. Clean up any leakage. Close panel and I promise you, your problem will be solved. Good luck, from Cheryl AlAlexander

E20 message

Hi Helenw,
The error message E20, simply means the filter plastic cage which is located behind the trap door bottom right side of the machine is full and needs to be cleaned out.
All the fibres and lint gets trapped in here and prevents the waste water from escaping, hence Error code E20.

David

Zanussi Electrolux ZWF 1430 W (E20 error)

Check water "forreign object trap". It's under the lid at the bottom of the machine. First drain water by pulling out the hose and pull out the plug. Then unscrew the trap. Have had this E20 error twice. First it was two coins there, next it was a big paperclip. Have worked fine ever since.11_20_2011_8_57_27_am.jpg
