Check whether you've put in the battery correctly. There should be some indicator on the battery itself and in the camera for the reight direction.

Make sure, when you try to close the cover firmly bu not with brute force. It should snap in eventually.

Help me to turn on my camera to access my media card.

You do understand that to open the battery cover you slide it out and then up. To close the cover it must be in the out position when you close it and then slide the cover in. If the cover is broken you can put it in position and tape it shut.

Broke battery cover

And now you can't use the camera? the cover must be closed complete. There is a switch, to check if the cover is closed. this is checked, to prevent damage to the memory card. When the camera is powered down while accessing the memory, the already saved pictures can become damaged.
You better contact an authorised service centre, for a repair of the camera.
