I have a LG LH-C6237M DVD VCR combo player. When I plug the video out cable, I cannot see anthing, if i connect it to the "monitor" out I see the screen on black and white and scrolling over the screen (i don't know the exact name of that effect). When I plug the green-blue-red outs to the corresponding of my tv i see the same scrolling screen but in color. I thougth it was a problem of region code, but when I enter "country code" it asks me a couple of letters instead of a number. I hope you can help me. Sincerely yours Rafael

Using your DVD-V4600, how do you play a vhs tape on TV? Need step by step instructions.

Hi,
In order to watch either DVD or VHS on your TV ,you need to make the following connections ..
  • You need to connect "DVD Player / VCR Combo" to" TV " as (Audio/video output of DVD Player / VCR Combo -TO- Audio/Video input of TV) ..
  • use either "RCA analog (red/white +yellow ) " or "SCART "or "Optic " cable.(any standard optical cable )...if exist ,optic is the best way to connect it..Remember your DVD Player / VCR Combo 's "OUT" goes into" IN "of the TV ..
  • pls also remember, wherever you connect your DVD Player / VCR Combo on your TV ,you should switch the source selector accordingly to correspond to the connection on the back...
Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

We did use the Red & White RCA cable in addition to a coax cable. When the VCR tapes starts there is a burst of static coming from the speakers. The dvd sound is perfect but absolutely no sound from...

This is a combo unit (DVD/VCR), which should have RCA AV outputs on the rear - component video, DVD, and DVD/VCR. The latter output allows tapes to be heard and viewed, as well as DVD movies when the respective deck is selected via remote. There appear to be 2 S-video outputs on this model according to the user specs guide.

In other words, examine the rear of your combo unit - and connect the red-white RCA cable to the DVD/VCR 'OUT' sockets on the rear of the unit (L & R) and the S-video cable to the 5-pin socket in the same section if that is what you use instead of yellow RCA. This should fix the no-sound on VCR problem, and the bonus is it won't cost anything, and you don't need a workshop repair or setup quote.

You probably connected the cables to the main DVD output instead of DVD/VCR.

I hope this helps somewhat.

how do you have the combo connection and dish network hooked to the tv ? if you have an s-video , yellow RCA jack video or component video hooked to the same input then it will act this way, because two inputs cannot be on the same video input # on the tv.
