I have a 10KW SIEMENS generator Model #0059090 - Cat#ASGNO10RBS, it was installed May 26-2011.Generator workrd fine after runing all the test required. We had a very short outage less then a minute, after that the generator filed to run when the exerciser was set to run. I found that the 5-amp fuse was blown at T1 in the transfer switch. When the fuse was replaced the display showed low battery. Battery is brand new purchased the day installation was complted. Battery was charged and after charging I checked the voltage with a meter and it read 12.9 volt. Now the display shows ready to run - inspect battery- battery still shows 12.9 volt and the yellow light is lit. The 7.5amp on he generator was removed before charging. The unit does start when timer for exerciser calls for star. How do I remove the "inspect battery, and have the yellow light turn off.

Most of those chargers have a fuse in line between the battery and the charger which you should check. They are two stage chargers meaning when there is a large voltage drop, they go to a high rate charge until battery voltage reads about 14.3 - 14.6 VDC then drops to a float volatge and normal float voltage should be about 13.33 VDC. When they go to a high rate the light turns red, when they go to float the light turns green. When the fuse blows the light stays green because it doesn't see any voltage but the charger isn't doing any work.

My Generac generator model 10kw starts it's exercise timer, runs but won't shut off. Any ideas?

It is common to cut off the fuel supply by stopping the diesel engine to shut off the transmission of fuel or air. The method is to install the solenoid valve on the pipeline of oil or gas supply, and control the opening and closing of the solenoid valve by pressing the electric button. So the solenoid valve is out of control. It can't cut off the fuel and air.

More technology supports, suggest you to contact the Starlight manufacturer( diesel generator set), they supply Cummins, Volvo, Perkins generator and provide services supports, the email address: [email protected].

10k GE home generator starts then shuts down after 12-15 seconds

There can be several factors:
Assuming it is doing it even when the local run switch on the unit is used versus the transfer switch test.
Check oil level and viscosity, too thick can affect oil pressure switch.
Check oil pressure switch, then check the generator slip rings for tarnish, they should be clean and shiney, after that check the stator windings and rotor windings for shorts and continuity. If you are unable to do the latter, have a pro take a look at it.

GE Generator 10kw model #040448. TRANSFER SWITCH FAULT message being displayed. Generator works fine. Generator output load voltage = 233V.

This generator has a built in transfer switch. If you do not have an external source of 240 volts going in to the unit (utility power), the transfer switch will show a fault or "abnormal" reading. If you do have utility power going in to the transfer switch, and the generator is on then you have a faulty transfer switch. It is time to warranty or get a replacement switch.

Guardian generac 10kw model 5502 does not output correct voltage

the instructions says the voltage regulator is automatic/digital. when you check the voltage is there any load on the generator? if applying load to the generator doesn't help, you can manually change the motor speed where the governor connects to the carborator, but it may change the frequency, but the regulator may fix it
