I have an HP M1522nf printer. It says 10.1000 Supply memory error. How do I get it to stop? I don't think it needs a new cartridge because the print on the pages is still nice and dark. How do I make this error message go away? Your instructions that came with this machine say nothing about this. Thanks.

Hello,
There is a problem with toner chip, the printer cannot read them corectly. Try this solutions:

Make sure you have removed the orange color notch on the left side of your cartridge, if
your cartridge is new.

Change the chip with another one.

Try another toner. Most likely the chip on this one is bad.

First check the toner cartridge orange plastic on the chip (the orange plastic protect chip, whe you insert a new cartridge toner, remove it). If not plastic on it jump to the next step.

Replace the cartridge toner (CB436A) for a new one.

A "supply memory" error is usually caused by a bad toner cartridge. Each cartridge has a chip that is read by the printer.
Try reseating the cartridges.

Most likely the Orange Clip that surrounds the sensor contacts on the front edge of the cartridge was not removed. Open the machine, look at your cartridge, make certain that any clips or protectors are removed, clean the contacts if in doubt and reseat the cartridge... your problem should be solved.

My hp laserjet 1210 mfp always reads supply memory error.. what is that?

Memory Supply Error 10.00.00 The printer is unable to read or write to the print

cartridge e-label, or the e-label is not on the cartridge.

Basically what is happening is the printer cannot read the small chip on the toner cartridge. The chip is located on the toner cartridge as it is inserted into the printer. 1 - Make sure the toner is firmly seated into the printer. 2 - Power cycle the printer with the toner out of the printer. Install the toner back into the printer. 3 - Install another toner cartridge. 3 - Verify that the e-label connector is firmly seated in connector

Just purchased M1522nf laser jet printer. LCD panel reads ''10.1000 Supply Memory error. Do you accept? press OK'' I have yet to install software in my laptop, which is next step in Getting Started Guide....

If you get suppy memory error than replace the Toner cartridge.
On toner cartridge there is a copper connecting chip, that particular chip communicates with the printer.
However the chip on ptinter (EPM) which communicate with cartridge chip if that is faulty than you need to get printer repaired.
However first replace the cartridge.
Chip on cartridge may be faulty.
