I have deleted some pictures from my Samsung ES28 camera which I really need to retrieve, is there any way at all this can be done? many thanks, Louise

Hi, you may try to recover your photos from you camera.
1. connect your camera's memory card to computer using card slot on computer or a card reader.
2. downloand an useful photo recovery tool, here I recommend you to use asoftech photo recovery program http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
3. launch it, select the SD card in left list and click "Start" to start the automatic scanning process.
4. and then choose the photos you want to recover from the list of all recoverable photos and click "Recover".

Have you restored your pictures off from this digital memory card?
If you have not, you can try to use a camera memory card data recovery freeware that can deeply scan your memory card and restore your lost pictures back as much as possible:

In fact, this freeware helped a lot as the phone memory card of my friend was mistakenly formatted. It eventually retrieved all his needed photos back successfully.
So, it is really worth a shot!
Note: You'd better not save anything new on this camera memory card before you've restored all your needed photos back.
Do not save these restored pictures on the same memory card in case of data loss.
In the future, you should remember to back up all important data all the time.

If the deleted photos are stored on your camera internal memory, you will perhaps have lost them permanently since there are no recovery software can scan the internal memory of camera for lost files.
If the deleted photos are stored on your Samsung camera MicroSD card and you did not use the card after you lose the photos, you will be able to get them back with Samsung Camera Deleted Photo Recovery software in the following steps:
1. Connect Samsung camera microSD card to the computer through a card reader, when connected, it should show up as a removable disk in "My Computer".
2. Launch Photo Recovery software, select the icon that represents your microSD card as the drive to start scan process.
3. Specify the image file types you wish to recover with the file filter tool to shorten the scan time.
4. When the scan is done, preview the photos one by one and specify the specific photos that you want to recover, and then hit the recovery button.

First of all, you should stop saving any new files to your Samsung ES28 camera (or SD card) or taking new pictures.


Then find some photo recovery software, which are able to recover deleted or formatted photos from cell phone, digital camera, memory card and SD card etc.

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. I can't download photos from my Samsung ES28 camera to my computer. Do I need software to do this & where would I get that?
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto on Mac or Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ) on Windows.

no your digi cams firmware are not upgradable.

The lcd screen for my daughter's ES28 has been damaged so we cannot see the view through the lens, saved pictures, menu etc. can this be repaired?
Yes this can be fixed. The screen can be replaced. You should search for a repair shop that specializes in digital cameras.

I'm working on the premise that you've deleted the photos from your camera memory or memory card.

If you have and used them since, its unlikely that you'll be able to retrieve them, you could have already over written them.

Its unlikely that you've deleted to your recycle bin, thats on your PC, usually already on your desktop. Camera's normally delete for good.

However, check your pc recycle bin, just double click onto it, it should be on your desk top. Once open you can choose to restore deleted files.

There are 2 file recovery programmes available for free from "filehippo.com" called "recuva" and "PC Inspector File Recovery 4.0". Download and install either of these onto your pc and recover from you camera memory to your pc (just create a folder on you desktop".
