I need to replace the door bulb and the bulb above the door in my True GDM-23. What size are the bulbs and are they available in a hardware store. Thanks

hi,this is how i fixed mine ,i took off the light tube and the little silvercup next to the light (capacitor) took them with me to home depot to match the numbers and sizes it took me about two minutes to find them, the capacitors come in silver and plastic housing and they come in pairs but not expensive,good luck.

Remove yours and take to THD or Lowe's. Could call first; make have to go to specialty lighting store if not available at the DIY stores.

yes, the ballast must match the bulbs. no other way to make it work correctly

Contact Refrigeration Hardware and Supply

starter cap in the light base. usually a silver metal or white plastic can. twist it to unlock it and pull it straight out. replace it with the exact type. you can get them at any hardware store. if your light doesn't have one, you'll need to replace the ballast inside the base. if the hardware store does not have one, you'll have to look online. try www.partselect.com.

Unplug the cooler to avoid a shock. Try pulling bulb up and then out from bottom. The bulb should be resting in spring loaded receptacles.

underneath the unit in the metal box there is a ballast for the lights check it to see if it is getting power and or producing power to the bulbs
