Wait for it to drain completely.
Then charge the player and try using it.

Sansa disk e 260

I had the same problem with mine freezing. It happened when I kept pressing the back track button (on left side) to go back to an earlier song. It then froze in the middle of a song, couldn't hear the song, the time of the song was frozen, etc., and the unit stayed lit, despite pressing all the buttons. I tried holding down power but nothing happened. I read another person's post that you need to hold it down 15-30 seconds. I did this and it worked, you just have to hold it down until it shuts down, which was about 15 seconds as suggested, could be longer for others.
For me, next time I wont keep clicking the tracks repeatedly, I'll simply go out of the song and back to the song I want through the menu.
Thank you for the good posts. Glad I didn't have to mess with the battery like others....

Froze

This may be the mp3 player that is wired badly. However, you may taking the battery or disconnecting it from its power for 10-30 seconds. Also, power down the computer and wait for 10 seconds -30 depending on the amount of times the computer has been shut down for the week. Try downloading its driver so that the computer will recognize this hardware.

My 2nd Sansa e260R that's froze...

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
-----
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

Froze, battery wore, charged it, n still wont come on

Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.

try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?

I hope it won't keep freezing on you after the update.
