My Kenmore dishwasher (665.13734K602) leaks water from the open door after washing. When the door is opened it leaves a puddle on the floor. The water appears to be coming from the vents under the control panel. Does anyone know how to fix this?

1. A door open partially will cause a frost build-up then thaw and run down to the floor. Check all doors for proper closure and educate other users.
2. An issue with an unhappy animal is quite common
3. Door switch intermittently causing a light to stay on ora fan to not run
4 Ice build up around ice door chute .
5. Water dripping into ice tray and overflowing. Replace water valve.
Hi, Here is a tip that I wrote about leaking dishwashers... There also is a link in there to another tip on how to buy parts online for your dishwasher...
The water valve may not have closed completely or may be leaking. You can copy and paste this link in your address bar for more great repair info and feel free to ask any other quesitons:
I had the problem with dribbles of water from the right side lower edge of the door, causing puddles across the floor.
Found there was a RECALL on MDB6000AWW models. The door inside panel was replaced by the dealer for free. No more puddles.
With very few exceptions, when a dishwasher leaks as you describe, the door gasket needs to be replaced. You have not posted the manufacturer and model number, so it is hard to help much more. Please post back here with further questions.
the problem is the water valve, we had to replace many ruined floors in our hotel because of this, when calcium builds up in the water lines of your house and a chunk breaks free, it sometimes gets in the water valve holding open the diaphram open ever so little, but enough for water to get thru, sometimes it will pass thru, other times it won't. and if you use it everyday you won't notice it, but if it sits for a few days it will fill up and eventually overflow. so either take apart the valve and install a filter or replace the valve.
sounds like a bad water inlet valve stuck open and permitting watertto enter even though not on, untill you replace the valve turn off water between uses part number 8181694
If it is not overfilling, and then leaking, the whirring noise can be a defective water inlet valve, that stays stuck on open, see here : It's overfilling
If it is not overfilling, the two problems may be unrelated, and the noise can be froma foreign object inside the object trap.
