I have a proscan 55LC55S240V87 Ive had it for about one year. When I turn the TV on it takes much longer to turn on and the screen lights up in the back ground but I get no picture only sound on and off. With the TV on I pushed the function button on the remote and the TV gave me the option of what connection to go to and I choose HIMI 1 and the TV worked Great till I turned the TV off. The next day when I turned the TV on again it took a long time to power on then the screen lit up in the back ground but no picture at all only sound off and on again. I installed a new HDMI cable but that did not fix the problem, and now the remote function button does nothing it will not give me any input options. I tried a differant identical remote but TV still has no picture nor will it give me an input options and it still takes a long time to power on.

Hello,

Hi
A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your TV and look at the power supply on the left hand side.

You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.
Hope this helps

Trying to figure out why my samsung plasma tv clicks when I try to turn it on

Do yourself a big favor and just replace the TV, replacing parts is just to costly and in most cases it doesn't fix the problem.

Emersin tv

which Dish Network system do u have. If it is the Hopper they program a little easier that the others. but if you have anything other than the hopper u do this. #1 turn onTV,#1 take Dish Remote,#3 press and hold down the TV button on top of the remote, hold it till all four lights light up.#4 press the small red TV button,# now press and click the channel Up or Down , do this one click at a time , (do not just press and hold ) this may take 200 clicks so don't give up. #5 when the TV goes off u quickly press the #(pound button) located on the bottom right of the remote. the TV button on top should flash 3 times. Now try to turn the TV back on.Ok now if you are clicking the channel button too fast and the TV turns off and u pass it up no sweat,,just hit the # button anyway.. and start from the beginning again, but this time use the OTHER channel button the TV should turn off within a couple of clicks. (that saves you from having to hit the button another 100 tries.. ha good luck

When you turn 'on' the tv...the tv continuously 'clicks'

The clicking noise is caused by the relays on the power supply board trying to power up the system. Your TV has detected a problem that's causing the power supply to shutdown. Someone knowledgeable in electronics can track down the problem. The SOURCE of the problem could be another board other the power supply.

Clicking noise when turning on the tv. Everything works but the clicking.

When you turn your tv off turn it off using the remote control then turn off the tvs switch itself... Try this for a few days hope it works for you.
Thanks.

Power button makes a click, click sound

The sound is coming from a failed flyback auto transformer. You will need to replace that.
