I have a Uniden (digital clarity 5.8ghz) digital answering system , model no. DSS7855+2 64000267 N32. The adaptor is broken and I require a replacement. Which is the correct one to purchase as the old one had no form of identification.

The Uniden DECT 1363 isn't an answering machine. It will continue to ring until someone picks up, a separate answering machine or voicemail system picks up, or the caller hangs up. You need to refer to the documentation for your answering machine or voicemail system.

From your handset, you just have to press the mute button, your phone should start telling you the time, date, ect. press the #5 key and then the #8 key and start recording your message. When finished press the # 8 key again. Hope this helps

There should be a button that reads "greeting".If there is no button that says "record" or "rec",then just hold down the greeting button and it should prompt you to record.It seems odd though,the digital answering machines usually hold their greeting even when losing power and coming back on.If it currently gives a "computer voice" greeting it should not be a problem.If there is no "computer" greeting,there may be a problem.Good luck.

On the base, press Menu/Select.
Select the Ans. Setup menu, and then the Record Greeting submenu.
Record Greeting, Start [select] appears.
Press Menu/Select to start the recording. Begin recording after the announcement. The message counter on the base LCD displays "30", and then begins to count down.
When you finish recording, press Menu/Selectagain or press . You will hear a confirmation tone, and your recorded greeting plays back for you.

I found a Uniden wdect 3355+1 (two handsets; one on answering machine and one stand alone). this is a wideband (64kbps-2mbps) phone/ans. mach. It's priced at $149.95 at Yahoo shoping. The wdect2355 that you have apparently is no longer offered.
