Hi!

The transducer for your depth gauge will not work through an aluminum hull. A drilled through-hull transducer or a transom mount transducer are your options here.

Just in case you require it, your Owners Manual can be viewed/downloaded at:

Hope this helps..

Depth sounder

the transducer has to be in the water or attached to the inside of the hull if fiberglass with no air between the hull and the transducer. It doesn't transmit thru air.

Unit showing 88.8 in the LCD window.

Hello geld1. Your problem is the transducer, cable or connector. Check transducer with an ohm meter, flex the cable while ohming the restance shouldn't change. The location and mounting of the transducer could be the main problem. Use the the correct gel film including a secure postion support.

Replacement of an old Impulse QT206

I believe it is the same model. Even if it is different, it will probably work if it has the same type of plug.

Depth Sounder does not display depth

I will see if I can get mine off the hull for testing. Still have found no procedure. Thinking about just replacing the sounder with another unit.
