I'm just looking for a owners manual for a Whirlpool Dehumidifier model AD50USL3 to see if there is anyway to connect a hose to run to a drain instead of having to empty the water collection chamber.

If your looking at the front panel of the unit look on the left side of the bucket there is a cover for the optional hose attachment.

Hi, I have the Dehumidifey in the boat and have connected a pipe to the back so it draind continually out . The problem is that it still fills up the container and doesnt drain out the pipe. I cannot find...

Pipe or hose must be totally sealed to dehumidifiers output. Then make gravity work... all pipe runs must be downhill, or else it will back up and come out the dehumidifier.

Our Gen3 Kirby still works but is extremely loud not - I am currently only using with the wood floor attachment (no brush) - thoughts?

this could be the impeller fan next to the motor shaft under your attachment hose connection.

to determine this, remove the hose from the unit, and turn the fan shaft with your hand looking down inside the unit. You should see blades on the impeller fan, and they should all look squared off and curved. If any of them are broken or worn, it will make the unit louder than normal.

Also, the hose attchment has an increased noise more than using the brush attchment anyway because it increases the suction for the hose more than on the carpet. IE the motor runs faster giving you more suction.

An Impeller fan for the G3 Kirby will run about 18-39$ for the fan. More for labour.

Good luck,
Mark

I have a GE dehumidifier that i hooked a garden hose to for direct drain. it will work okay for awhile then will only drain into the drain bucket. is there something i can do to ensure that it will drain...

This seems to be a fairly frequent complaint on these GE dehumidifiers, and none of the solutions I've read here or anywhere else have fixed mine. My hose is clear, straight downhill, tight to the nipple with a good gasket, no plugs visible in the nipple, but has always filled the bucket rather than drained through the hose (and it's always bone dry). After two years of this and emptying the bucket, I'm about ready to disassemble it to see if I can fix it but with all of the other unresolved complaints I've seen GE should step up to the plate and post a solution.

I hooked up a hose to my Whirlpool dehumidifier for continuous drain and returned the bucket like the manual states. The bucket continues to fill and shut off. Model AD25DSS1 Serial Q1123013

Hi, check to make sure the drain hole connection on the Dehumidifer's reservoir, that you have the hose hooked to, isn't plugged.

Also, you might want to see if the hose connection on the reservoir, still has the "knock out plug" still in place. Look at the hose connection on the reservoir, and if you can't see through it, or put a screwdriver through it, you need to punch it out the middle with a screwdriver. Open up the hole as much as you can so it will drain into and through your hose.

Check your hose also, as it might be plugged, disconnect it and blow through one end to make sure the water can flow through it.

Those are the only three things that could be preventing it from draining out the reservoir, through the hose connection, and through the hose to your drain

Take care
