I just got an old Hamilton Beach stand mixer model G, do I need to oil it somewhere\

Yes, they do need periodic oiling and greasing. You just need to get inside it. Grease on gears and a little oil on shafts. and bearings.

I have a Hamilton Beach Model 727-3. Works fine but I lost the mixing shaft. I ordered a new one for model 727-B (there was no model 727-3 listed). I am having difficulty getting the new shaft...

The part you need for the 727-3 is referred to as an "Agitator". It looks like the mixer shaft for the 727B but it has "ears" instead of "pins" that lock the shaft into the mixer. Same price but different name and part number.

As far as I can find out the only thing available is the motor and shaft itself for a substantial cost.

Break out the yellow pages and contact your local restaurant supply.

They should be able to supply you with what your looking for or at least let you know where you can get one.

Hamilton beach drinkmaster 30

You have to put the metal container under the upper lip, which completes the on/off switch. (will start the motor right away if everything is working properly)
