Your TV may not be compatible. What is needed is a cable box, it handles all of the channels and the TV stays only on channel 3 or other input from the cable box.

I changed my tv from cable to an indoor antenna however I cannot get it back to set up to change it over to antenna or air. Help1

Do you mean the Curtis LED1930A 19" TV? If so, first check that the source is set to TV. Use the Source button on the TV (just below the power button) or the remote (to the right of the 0). You can use the up/down arrow keys to change lines in the Input list. Press Enter to confirm the choice if you are using the remote.

Next press Menu on the TV (the third button from the top) or remote (to the left of the 0). Use the left/right buttons to navigate to the Channel heading (the third item from the left). Use the Source key (on the TV) or press Enter on the remote to enter the menu. Use the up/down arrows to highlight Signal Type. Press Enter (or Source) and then use the left/right arrows to get Air. Press Enter to confirm the setting. Now you should be able to highlight Auto Channel Search and search for your OTA channels.

This is shown in the manual. The manual is available from Amazon here: http://s3.amazonaws.com/szmanuals/d29a408ae8fdecdc0547a724183146ef .

I hope this helps.

Please run channel auto scan. Where might this be?

Make sure that the TV source is set to TV with either the Source button on the TV (above the power button on the side) or the remote (next to the CH up/down buttons). Then press the Menu button. (On the TV, it's above the Source button. On the remote it's to the left of the 4 arrow keys and slightly below the left arrow.) Navigate to Channel with the Up/Down arrows. Press the Right arrow or OK to enter the menu. Navigate to Air/Cable and select the signal type. Navigate to Auto Scan to scan the available channels that the tuner can identify.

This is available on page 19 of the manual of the ELEF191; the RB indicates you have a refurbished model. Meijer has a copy of the manual as a PDF here: http://www.meijer.com/assets/product_files/pdf/Element_ELEFJ191_19Inch_720p_LED_HDTV.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Have a curtis tv , trying to run autoscan, it runs, but it doesn't locate any channels. I have a comcast converter box also. Not sure why autoscan isn't working. Or do I have to set up my comcast...

For the auto scan to detect there must be channels present on the CABLE that is connected to the RF input- TUNER INPUT- of the TV.
So check with your cable operator for the channels and you can connect. however if you are using a digital box then the channels are memorised on the box as only the output of the box is connect to the video/audiop inputs of the TV. if so select line in/video 1/2.

I hook my antenna to the back and I'm not receiving a picture

Hi,

I'm assuming your Antenna is connected to your TV with a co-axial cable? If so, please make sure you have run the Analogue/Antenna/Air channel scan correctly:

1. Switch the TV on
2. Press the "MENU" button on the Curtis remote supplied with the TV.
3. Press the RIGHT arrow button five times to highlight the "Channel" menu
4. Press the "ENTER" button or the DOWN arrow once to open the "Channel" menu

The Air/Cable option should be highlighted.

5. Use the LEFT/RIGHT arrow buttons to set the "Air/Cable" option to "Air"
6. Press the DOWN arrow to highlight "Auto Scan"
7. Press the "ENTER" button or the RIGHT arrow once to start the automatic channel scan.

When the scan has finished, the TV should automatically return to viewing mode. If not, just press the "EXIT" or "MENU" button on the remote to close the menu.

You also need to make sure the correct INPUT/SOURCE is selected on the TV:

1. Press the "SOURCE" button on the Curtis remote
2. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to highlight "TV" in the INPUT SOURCE menu
3. Press the "ENTER" button on the remote to select "TV" and close the INPUT SOURCE menu.

This should be all you need to do to watch your TV from an antenna source.

Please post back if you are still unable to get it to work and need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

I get channel until #13 how does i get the other chnnel

TV's of this era have two modes that the tuner can work in. One is the AIR mode and the other is CABLE. In the air mode the tuner picks up only "off air" frequencies,... and up to channel 13 they happen to be the same as cable channels 2 thru 13. If you are using cable you will need to go into your on screen menu and find where to change the tuner from "air" to "cable" to get channels above 13. Older sets had a switch on the front and sometimes the back to select the tuner mode.

NO CATV working on Curtis RT700

Yes if the unit is capable of picking up cable, there is a channel setup menu in the main menu. You half to switch it over to the cable mode. it should be in the owners manual. Good Luck
