Xerox Phaser 3200mfp Memory Issue

Hello,

We have a Xerox 3200MFP that until recently was functioning perfectly. Whenever we attempt to fax anything, we get an LCD error message that says "Memory Full".

Going into the menu > maintenance > clear memory, I get another error message that says "Function Impossible". I have searched through Xerox's site, google, and have even called xerox's tech support with nothing to show for it. The printer is outside of the 30 day return policy from office max and Xerox says they will replace it if we pay for shipping.

I've also tried downloading utilities from Xerox only to get cryptic error message on trying to run them. I tried downloading their latest firmware update, but the only way (that I know of) to update it is through their software, which does not function.

Anyone familiar with this printer at all that can help?

Yeah, their response was send us the broken printer, we fix it and send it back, or send you a new one, and you also have to pay for shipping.

I was just wondering if there was a trick to this before I had to deal with Xerox.

My xerox 7655 boots up with a service message saying system is unavailable attempting to restore system, and then sits there for hours. i tried to factory reset it but it doesnt allow me to pull up any options under the tools menu but the printer calibration. Also many of the other options are unresponsive or missing selections. how do i fix this?

    !!SOLUTION!!

Remove the toner, shut door, turn printer off then on. This will say "Install Toner"

You can then access the clear memory function as above.

After clearing all replace the toner.

I've reinstalled the firmware with no success. I have tried repeatedly to clear the memory via the LCD user interface (there is no software solution to this). The message I get when trying to clear the memory is "Function Impossible".

Do you have the receipt for the machine? You have a 1 year warranty from Xerox on that machine, Here is the copy and paste from the warranty information on the Xerox website.

Xerox warrants that the Phaser 3200MFP product and its Consumables, Routine Maintenance Items, and Options/Upgrades (related items) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the periods set out below:
Product: a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment.

Xerox phaser 3200mfp We are able to fax out, but all inbound receiving faxes are getting a busy signal and not coming through. There is no error msg of any kind. please help.

Get a older phone and hook it up. Try to call that number and see if you get though. My guess would be this is a prefix error (not putting a 1 in front of the area code, ect.)
