You could try GE Parts Service. You will need the correct Model Number of your portable AC Unit to do this. https://www.geapplianceparts.com/GEApplianceParts/Dispatcher?REQUEST=LANDINGPAGE&AppliancePart=Air%20Conditioners

And you can also try Factory Appliance Parts. Again, you will need the correct Model Number .

Hope this helped to get you started. Please let me know. Thanks.

My husband and I are trying to get to our thermostat to change in my 2002 rendezvous, but there is a metal pipe in the way that we can't figure out how to remove. just behind the pipe, is a metal plate...

Hello vocalviixen,

The pipe that you referred to is the exhaust crossover pipe. Below I've included removal and installation instructions.

Also, the procedure for bleeding the coolant system is critical; if you need those instructions please post the question.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable.
2. Remove the throttle body air inlet duct.
3. Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
4. Remove the inlet radiator hose from the engine.
5. Remove the thermostat bypass pipe.
6. Remove the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts.
7. Remove the exhaust crossover heat shield.
8. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe studs/nuts.
9. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the exhaust crossover pipe.
2. Install the exhaust crossover pipe studs/nuts.
3. Tighten the exhaust crossover pipe studs/nuts to 18 lb ft.
4. Install the exhaust crossover heat shield.
5. Install the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts.
6. Tighten the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts to 89 lb in.
7. Install the thermostat bypass pipe.
8. Install the inlet radiator hose to the engine.
9. Fill the cooling system with engine coolant.
10. Install the throttle body air inlet duct.
11. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable.

Gas backup wont light. repairman said need new heat exchanger. approx 60 days ago replaced all burners and it woked ok they got it running for 1 night now it is out again. if the xchanger is bad why did...

I would only assume that now you have taken out an over heating sensor. When a heat exchanger goes bad it is a very dangerous situation because now you are pumping carbon monoxide in your house along with your heat. A heat exchanger is a baffle that hot gases pass thru, heating up the exchanger along the way and expelling carbon monoxide out the exhaust/chimney. Bad exchangers crack along seams or burn holes thru allowing the exhaust to mix with the blower air and in time this could cause carbon monoxide build up in your house. This cracking also lets hot exhaust in to the furnace and can burn up over heat protection, wiring and possibly cause a house fire. Please change out the heat exchanger or entire furnace, there is no price to replace a human life.

It is heating up but taking 3 or 4 full cycles to dry clothes took the back off i see no burn ups or anything else but did see where one of thermostats housings apears to be open a lil

Make sure the dryer exhaust hose is not plugged, if there is a flap door on the outside of the house make sure it is free and opens when the dryer is working. The exhaust should be no longer than 15 feet to work efficiantly. each 90 degree bend counts as 2.5 ft.so 2 bends equals 5 ft of. That leaves 10 feet for the exhaust to be fead to the outside. A plugged exhaust hose is usually the problem when the heat is in the dryer but it takes 3 or 4 cycles to dry. good luck.

Any Electrical parts supplier would be happy to make one for you and make it so that it fits your dryer back or the male plug coming from dryer. I recommend SO cord because it is flexable and water resistant. Depending on your dryers amperage 3 wire 10 gage or larger 9 guage possibly. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Daughter plugged a 12amp vaccuum into protected

replace the part it is not worth cost to fix and not like to perform properly. As you fix on part it ill likely be a cascade effect of repairing more and more as you fix one part and insulation is damaged and will not be safe to provide power protection or back up.

How to replace the water pump on 1993 oldsmoblie achieva.

2.4 enigine is the harder of the 3 enignes. it will need a timing chain to be removed and a coolant tube in the back of the engine to be removed. this job on the book calls for almost 7 hours.

if its 3.3 or 3100 its alot easier.

3100 is just 4 10mm pulley bolts and 5 or 6 small 8mm water pump bolts.

3.3 is alittle more work, but same concept as 3100 engine. more owkr only cause its in a tighter area.

good luck,
