Your lamp cover is not installed. That is what causes the LED to light amber. Remove and re-seat the lamp cover door. There is a switch it hits to tell the TV the door is shut. This is to protect you from electrocution.
I have seen alot of the Mitsubishi DLPs to get very dim and the colors appear dull and the cause was almost always caused by the small front mirror needing to be cleaned due to a dust build up. In order to reach ballast you have to remove optical block. Ballast is usually covered with metal shield. It's located on the right hand side of optical block (if to look from the back of the TV). and it have two black thick short wires that connected to the lamp cartridge socket. Regards. Russ.

Does your dishnet box have two tuners or one, if only one then only the program being watch on the tv can be recordered , this will have to be connected to the av input on the recorder and one of the av (line input) selected with the remote control for the recorder, If the dishnet box as two tuners then the output from one tuner can be used to feed the tv and the other one will go to the recorder connected through the av input. hope this will help regards windyhouse
