Hi boutep,

The auto mode will not necessarily work when there is hand shake , it seems that , it will remove slight hand shakes and blurs , but that's not what it's meant for.

The auto mode is like a sensor to the surroundings and then adjusts the camera exposure and color settings accordingly.

Therefore remember whenever you take pictures , not to move the camera and it's always better to focus an image first by half pressing the button and then when the image is focused and green dot is coming on the screen , you go ahead and press the button fully.

Hope this helps ..:) Your feed back would be appreciated.

How to take clear pictures

Hello.

Considering your camera is in good working order go to the menu and look fot the option to turn on sounds if they aren't already on.

With your camera set to auto, aim it at your subject and partially press the shutter button. At this point you may see the image on your screen change from blurry to clear as the camera auto focuses. Usually a green light will appear on the screen and sometimes a sound will signal you that the camera is focused and ready to shoot.

You must wait for the camera to focus and give you a signal before pressing the shutter button fully. Give it a try and practice with different situations and backgrounds as focus time will vary between sceens.

Hope this helps. Dale

I cannot seem to get a clear picture with my camera. The color is off and it looks blurry sometimes. What am I doing wrong?

Thee pictures are blurry most likely because you are shaking the camera as you are taking the picture. To help eliminate this lean against something solid, use the viewfinder instead of the LCD screen or mount the camera to a tripod. The colour could be from not selecting the proper white balance for the scene you are shooting. Look in you manual and see if you have an "auto" white balance and set the camera to that.

Blurry pics

Go into the setup menu and scroll to "reset" and follow the on-screen instructions. Sometimes that will restore your camera to original specs.

My camera is blurry.. How do I make it clear?

make sure the lense is clear of any dust or dirt. before you take a picture make sure you press the shutter button halfway down for it to auto foucus. look for a setting that may turn auto foucus on and off, but most likely, there is no such option on this camera. otherwise there may be a problem with the camera. contact either olympus or where you bought it from (if under warrenty) or find someplace to check it out, such as geek squad.

My Minolta Z6 used to take clear pictures. Suddenly almost every image became is blurry. I then stored for about a year, now I have cleaned the lense to no avail. Focus l through lcd screen is also now...

I think you may be doing what I have ben doing. The auto focus beam I think emits from the small sender between the hand grip and the lense portion of the camera, ( Bad Design) When gripping the camera my fingers sometimes block the sender and causes it to be blurry as in not focused. .Try to keep your fingers from going in between the grip and lens and I think it will work for you.Let me know if this helps. I am so glad I found this out because this camera takes nice pictures.

Ok. On your viewfinder, there might be a round dial. Turn it to adjust focus. Otherwise, sometimes viewfinders are like that... blurry, especially electronic.

Fuzzy pictures

The blurry pictures are due to movement. Sometimes adjusting the flash helps.

Blurry picture

I have this same problem. If I shut the camera off then on again it clears up. Someone from Fuji said that this is because the Auto-Focus is stuck on. They advised to half push the shutter button to release the auto-focus.
